  1. Actually, I just changed my mind about Sunday afternoons. I just remembered that we start dog agility class at the end of this month. It's on Sunday's at 1:30. But if it's later in the day or some other day that's fine.

  3. I don't know if you have a Chevy's were you are. They may just be on the West Coast. But they have a gluten free list here Open Original Shared Link as well as many other restaurants on that site. The chips there are fried with wheat containing items, so they are a no-no. I know what you mean about them being hard to resist. I used to love chips and salsa...
  4. I'm interested! Good to hear things are progressing. I would prefer Sunday afternoon, but either is fine. It would probably usually just be me.
  5. I just joined the group!

  7. Why can't you go sooner than that?
  8. I was very lucky, I was diagnosed on my first trip to the doctor when I was complaining of my symptoms. But I also had the typical celiac symptoms, weight loss, diarhhea, etc. I just feel very blessed that I described my symptoms to my gynecologist who diagnosed me. If I had gone to my regular doctor like I was intending I'm not sure if they would have figured...
  9. Thanks for the help. We just got back and I got spring roll wraps and the noodles to go in there. I also got chili sauce. Can you tell me how to make the stuff though? I got some tips from my friend, but I want to see how you make stuff too.
  10. Look at Kraft's. They will list anything that contains gluten in the ingredients. A lot of Cattlemen's are gluten-free too.
  11. My co-worker is Asian and she's going to take me to a market that she goes to tomorrow. I know that I've heard people say that Asian markets are good for people with celiac disease because a lot of their stuff is naturally gluten free. Do you have any ideas for stuff that I should be on the look out for?
  12. That would totally freak me out too.
  13. I wouldn't think that their would be enough gluten on a doorknob for us to get contaminated. If 200 ppm is considered safe, you basically have to rub a piece of bread on the doorknob. But you still should wash your hands because doorknobs are just dirty in general. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned that you should get your own butter dish, peanut butter...
  14. Hmmm...I wonder why not? I saw lots of possibilities. Maybe he just didn't want to deal with it.
  15. We were at Ikea today and I wanted to get a little something at the restaurant. I was going to get scrambled eggs and a fruit bowl, but the were done serving breakfast about 10 minutes earlier. So, since I couldn't tell if I could eat anything else there, we asked someone if they had ingredients lists of their food and they were really helpful. They got out...
  16. Sounds perfect to me. I like the idea of something informal with just a small group. I've heard about the really big groups and that sounds to impersonal to me.
  17. I'm jealous!
  18. Baby Ruth, M&Ms
  19. Can you send it to me: abby0501@hotmail.com Thanks!
  20. I would come if you started one. I live in Puyallup. I had posted that I wanted to start one, but I'm afraid I've been sick with other issues and won't have the energy to plan, etc. Let me know please.

Rache- Just remember that their subs and burgers are going straight to their thighs!
  22. I have reynaud's now too, but it only started last year, right when all my celiac symptoms got bad and before I was diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease. But, like Jen said, even before the reynaud's I always had really cold hands and feet. With the reynaud's now, not only are they cold but they turn numb and white, purple, red, etc. I found something...
  23. Oh yeah, Nacho Cheese Doritos, those were my favorite. And Taco Bell, I loved it there. Yeah, it's funny how it's all the really bad for us stuff that we miss. Although, I guess most things with gluten in it are bad for you. Hmmm....
  24. I prefer the "add reply" way. It's the one down at the bottom of the page as opposed to right under the person's post. If everyone knows what the subject is and quoting is not necessary, it saves people from having to scroll past a big quote.
