I just want to say thank you.. SO MUCH. I've been using Vanicream since yesterday, and it's exactly what I was looking for. My skin is already significantly improving. And most of my hives are gone, as well.

Are you using artificial sweeeteners or Crystal Lite? Or over the counter drugs ?
No, I have a few prescriptions, but no over the counter drugs. I rarely even use Tylenol and stuff for headaches.

Vanicream. Creamy and free of scent and gluten/wheat. Also hypoallergenic.
Hmm. I've never heard of that. Sounds promising, though. Do you buy it at a particular store, or online?

So, I've recently, I believe, had a severe reaction to a lotion that contained wheat. I had been slowly and progressively breaking out in hives all over my arms, as well as little red dots on my legs. I stopped using the lotion yesterday, and they're considerably better today. So I've been trying to find a list of gluten-free lotions or creams (creams preferred). I have pretty bad eczema to begin with, so whatever it is absolutely has to be fragrance free.
If anybody has a list or links they could give me it would be very much appreciated! :]

Heya,
I've had Celiacs for close to four years, been diagnosed for about six or seven months, and it's so frustrating to try and eat out. I wouldn't do it all, but my boyfriend absolutely loves the social part of it. So I try. I've tried Mongolian BBQ and Olive Garden and haven't gotten sick from either of those, but I haven't been able to find anything else close to the Grand Blanc area of Michigan.
Anybody happen to know of some good gluten-free restaurants I could try eating at?

So, I've been gluten free for about 10 months, and have noticed some random stomach pains here and there, but nothing worth really doing anything about until the other night ..I was having horrible stomach pains (very similar to when I was eating gluten) for almost an entire day, getting worse as the day went on. So, I thought back on what I ate, and came to the conclusion that it must be some kind of dairy issue. (I am absolutely positive I didn't come in contact with any gluten.) All I had eaten that day and the day before were dairy products (really, lots of ice cream, butter, and milk
).
So, I decided to try going off dairy for a week and then eating a decent amount of it again to see if I get sick. Question is, should I wait longer than a week? If so, how long?
I've cut out absolutely everything dairy related. Cheese, butter, milk ..and it's driving me crazy! But I want this test to work, so I'd rather wait another week now as opposed to later.

Also, a kind of unrelated question: Does anyone get weird cravings for the texture of regular bread/baked goods? Like, I'll watch somebody eat a muffin and FEEL the texture of that muffin in my mouth, as if I were just about to eat it/currently eating it. It's weird and frustrating and I really would like it to go away. I grew up on bread, pizza, and cheese pretty much. So the diet I grew up with has been almost completely eliminated, and it's having this weird effect on my body. Anyone have a similar feeling?
