I have NSVT ( non sustained ventricular tactcardia) and atrial tachycardia both different than afib. I have had very good results with magnesium taurate.
-
I am wondering if your like me with constipation before celiac diagnosis rather than text book diarrhea? After I got off all gluten AND milk I became regular. Maybe if you think your digesting too slowly try to eat a lot more vegetables and fruits to speed up the process. Extra water can't hurt either. .

Absolutely nothing... Which is why I want to see an electrophysiologist for a second opinion. If it's nothing to be done fine, but I'd like to see if I'm a candidate for ablation.
-
Good luck with your ablation! My moms husband had a cathedar ablation done for afib and has had zero episodes since!! I'm going to go see an electrophysiologist soon to see what can be done if anything about mine. I only have a low sudden cardiac death risk but I imagine it will only get worse the older I get and the risk higher.
-
What happened with you? My symptoms were very similiar to yours and I was diagnosed with NSVT and atrial tachycardia- devastated as I'm 27 with 2 children under 4

Here! Oops

Well it's been awhile since I posted but the doctor told me everything was fine on my holter event recorder and just PACs in couplets and bigeminy. Well I refused to take off my moniter because they hadn't caught the runs of palpitations I've been getting. And guess what I recorded two runs- bad news it's nonsustained ventricular tachyicardia ( NSVT ) and atrial tachycardia. Boo! needless to say very frightening. Luckily my heart is structurally normal so as of now I'm waiting to see an electrophysiologist for a treatment plan if any. Anyone else on hear going through this?!

I'm grain free too- but wondering what you do for breads and starches? I don't do anything but sweet potatoes and vegetables and sometimes white potatoes but rarely. Do you eat beans too?? Just really curious about your diet as I'm only less than 6 months into mine. I eat tons of fruit but im hungry and it's so convenient. .
-
I have to eat paleo diet like... Mostly no dairy, but every now in then I'll have a string cheese, no grains for me since I'm allergic to all grains. I don't even eat coconut breads or anything like that. I've found it to be quite easy but the beginning was difficult. I eat an almond banana smoothie for breakfast or sauteed cabbage/kale/spinach/arugula with s piece of turkey bacon (nitrate free organic) with a sweet potato sometimes too. I eat salads for lunch with veggies and advocate , and meat and veggies for dinner. It's easy once you get used to it. I snack on fresh fruits and sometimes dried fruits. I'd like to consume less fruit sugars but I really can't take more out of my diet. I even eat fava beans for breakfast drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice salt and cumin and it's delicious. I do eat eggs sometimes but they bother my stomach which my allergist believes is because they eat so much grains themselves.
-
I went to an allergist and was food tested and found out I had many allergies. Why don't u try going to an allergist and that way insurance would cover it?? If I did it without the allergist and sent in my blood to be tested like my chiropractor suggested it would have put me back 1k.

I have the same white callous too on both feet but the doctor isn't worried about that. My legs get slightly lacy when cold but it doesn't happen often... But it happened at the dermatologist so it must have happened for a reason. The tiny little rash I have is super tiny and comes up with heat especially after shower. Raynoulds is nonexistent in summer.
-
Thank you all so much for your positive attitudes and replies. It means more to me than I could really put into words. I'm just so stressed lately with so many things coming on me in the last 6 months and have remained positive until yesterday when I was told I needed to be tested. No I don't have the butterfly rash- my symptoms are mottled skin when cold- but not always and a small lace like race that pops up after shower is usually when it occurs. I have other symptoms as well but they could be so many other things- raynoulds I do have but have never been formely diagnosed.
-
So should I be expecting my bloodwork to come back positive since we have high inflammation levels anyways with celiac? And if she diagnosis lupus I guess that means I should get a second opinion?? I don't have a rash on my face just mottled skin on legs when cold sometimes and also a rash I've had for three years that crops up when I get hot out of the shower- otherwise I don't notice it.
-
I'm wondering if everyone with raynoulds if you also experience mottled like skin when cold- like a lacy overlay on ur skin?? My dermatologist saw this today on my skin and now I'm being tested for lupus and antiphosophlipids etc. I'm scared to be diagnosed with yet another problem.
-
Well - hopefully you won't develop full blown lupus especially since ur taking precautions and staying on a gluten-free diet. So I'm guessing whatever blood work my doctor comes up with will be positive since everyone is saying that theirs was after diagnosis with celiac? Then I'll have to go to a rhematoligist? I dunno this is all so confusing... So it's not cut and dry about having lupus plus it's trickier for us celiacs??
-
Yes but is your lupus sle lupus or just the disorder of the skin?? I'm worried I may have full blown lupus but who knows. I wish I was positive like you.
-
Geez!! I think we have an even more sensitive time too digesting minerals and such so we can overdo it and still not get enough. I HATE palpitations!!
-
Yes that's tricky... I can't imagine taking potassium because I had to after an ER visit for palps and the potassium gave me intense stomach pains as well as more palps even though my bloodwork was normal after 2-3 testings. I stopped it and had much fewer palps.
-
Thank you so much for the reply. I've become so scared it's lupus and I'll have to get a kidney transplant or worse... Its ridiculous but I'm so nervous. I already cover completely - the only body parts I expose are my feet and hands. J have raynoulds disease and my lacy like rash only shows up after a hot shower. I get a sun rash when in the sun too long but it's been that way since childhood. I'm just absolutely terrified of having lupus! How do you stay so positive and without the fear. Many of my symptoms are signs of lupus but could be other things and I've heard that's how lupus is: very dry skin, heart palpitations, raynoulds, lacy rash just on feet but by ankle and fatigue. I've been gluten-free for 2 years with cheating because I thought it was just wheat allergy and full blown gluten-free since diagnosis.

So lately I've had so much going on and it's just beginning to be too much. So in the past 6 months- benign PVCs/PACs and possible SVT, celiac, ovarian cysts, and now possibly lupus or some other issue. Went to dermatologist because I go yearly for mole/freckle checks and she noticed a lacy looking like rash that's on my ankle and creeps up a bit. It has been there for 3 years and comes on especially after showering. She said she's running my c and r proteins and antiphosolipid (?) and testing for lupus and other blood clotting disorders. Said I may need to be on a baby aspirin daily. So... Haven't gotten blood drawn yet but definitely nervous and just feeling overwhelmed. I don't know much about the disorders she told me but from what I've read it's scared me silly. Anyone else have this lace-like skin in certain places and was it lupus or something else???
-
I think magnesium is perfectly safe as my ER doc and PC told me it was fine to take and helps hold potassium. I too get palpitations and it can be frightening. I never cheat either!! Anyways i would be careful supplementing potassium as too much can cause palpitations as well. Try getting ur potassium from foods like potatoes with skin, oranges, fortified juices etc. If you want magnesium, calcium and potassium you could try a smooothie I take but it is high in natural sugars. 1 cup each of ice and unsweetened vanilla milk, 2 ripe bananas, 1 large spoonful each of ground flaxseed and almond butter- blend and enjoy .
-
I felt horrible when I first got off gluten. Dairy really constipates me so I stay away. Try eating mixed nuts, adding flaxseed that's been ground into ur dishes and drinking even more water! Something that has helped me is water before bed then warm water with lemon in am before any food and then waiting 30 minutes. Could be magnesium deficient. Start taking 250 mg at night then work up to 500mg at night and you'll know if your taking too much because it causes the runs when ur body has it's full.
-
I still get palps and what the doctors think is svt after going gluten-free. I'm hoping it'll calm down. Mine seem to be hormone related. I'll try b12 - anything is better than palps!

I think swansons broth has wheat in it
