My blood rtest came back negative, so I didn't do anymore testing and I was first on the diet for about 2 months and noticed my digestive issues were improving, this is my 2nd week back on the diet now and I intend to just stick at it for good.

I'm not a diagnosed celiac, but my mother has it and I definitely feel better on the diet. I've been on it 2 times (this is 2nd) and I'm sticking to it this time. But I got this wrist pain about 7 weeks ago when I was eating gluten and it hasn't got better. Its like on the outside of the wrist and is a shooting pain, it isn't a pain which causes agony but it is still there majority of the time. Could this be caused by celiac or gluten intolerance? Has anyone had this and if so how long did it take to disappear?

Can this be the case? After being off gluten for 2 months and some symptoms decreasig I tried gluten again andam still eating it(want to get tested, endoscopy etc..). I have developed a weird heel pain and a bunion, well I think it is. Anyone know anything about this?
-
Thanks! Hope it is celiac and I can just get better and feel myself again! Has anyone had any problems with bonions?
-
Thanks for the feedback! It runs in my family to as my mother has it. I'm just hoping it is celiac when I get tested to stop all my problems!

Hi, I currently tried a 2 month trial for gluten free. Some of my symptoms decreased heavily, but I wanted a medical diagnosis. So I've been eating gluten for about a month and quite a few of my symptoms have came back and more. The bad gas came back, bloating more, the first time trying bread again I had to rush to the toilet a few times (d) and have got it odd times. Symptoms what have came since before, fatigued, dry lips a lot more especially in the morning, heel pain, dizziness and I've developed a lump on my foot (opposite to a bonion, called a bonionette if it is that) Are these all symptoms too? Could some be a nutritional deficiency?(Bone pain?) Thanks

Ohhh thankyou, obviously a digestive issue, what digestive enzymes would you recommend in the UK?
-
Does anyone get this? Mainly white bits of undigested food(well I think it is), as well as black but loads of white! Had it checked no parasites etc.. Anyone else get this? Its only since I've gone gluten free!
-
Yeah I meant grain equivalents, or for example gluten free bread/pasta..
-
Thankyou. Do celiacs who go grain free generally go back to grains and are able to tolerate them in the future? And if so how long? I just can tell I feel different after some foods, not just me thinking it!
-
Just a few questions. Why do people go grain free and can people with celiac not tolerate them? I know that when I eat gluten free bread and pasta I feel very bloated, compared to potatoes for example.I know I can't tolerate rice so could it be the grains? Should I go grain free? Anyone have any grain free options?

Okayy thanks for the input:)

Ahhh okay thanks. Are you going to go back on grains in the dfuture? I guess gluten-free bread and pasta causes you problems then?

I've been gluten-free for about 6 weeks now, and feeling quite a lot better, I haven't been medically diagnosed, bnut my mum has it and I think its been passed to me. I feel quite a bit better, the BAD flatulence has totally gone since the new diet, the 'C' is getting better and the feeling of fullness all day long is decreasing! I'm just wondering does anyone have problems with rice? It seems like when I eat it, it comes out in my stool(yuck I know). I've had my stool tested all came back ok. Also I seem to be more constipated after rice. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Its just the bloating and irregular bowel movements which is causing me problems:( and lack of appetite!
-
Ahhh I see.. And I've been eating gluten-free for 5 weeks now so it'll make the biopsies unreliable etc as you need to be eating gluten for a while before don't you? I guess I'm just gonna stick to this and see how it goes
-
Ill stick at it, only time will tell really.. And I had blood tests which were negative, and the doctor thought that if the blood test was negative, I was negative.. I went to a specialist doctor for the symptoms, and he just said I had chronic 'C' and sent me on my way.. So if they're not going to help, ill try help myself. Also my mum has celiac too.

Hi, I haven't had a diagnosis of celiac, but have currently been gluten-free for about 5 weeks. I used to get disgusting flatulence very often, but after a week of going gluten-free, it went totally and haven't had it since.. Although the feeling of fullness is always there(bloating), as is the feeling that I never feel hungry, and 'C' is still there but has improved slightly. I have removed all dairy to. I just want to come to the bottom of this problem its been going on for too long now..and don't want this to be pointless trying gluten free. Does this seem like celiac is the cause? When should my other symptoms clear up if it is the cause? Any advice needed PLEASEEE!!!

Anyone had symptoms that made them never feel hungry?? And if so when did you finally actually feel hungry?
-
I think rice is playing a bit of a part in my 'C' and bloating. I didn't have rice for about 4 or 5 days and I was having better bowel movements.. And since I had it yesterday I had bloating and a bit of 'C' I do eat quite a bit of rice recently after going gluten-free. Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal?
-
Thanks ill definitley try some of that!

Does anyone have any alternatives to gluten free bread? Also different foods that don't include potatoes, rice etc as I'm struggling to think what to eat! It gets very repetitive! Thankyou!
-
Okay thanks:)

Thanks! And I've been avoiding milk a little, and when I tried it a couple of days ago it made me feel more bloated that day and about half an hour after it! So I'm avoiding milk from now on. Should I avoid eggs to?

If I have a vitamin deficiency wil my vitamins go up naturally on a gluten free diet?
Also what are the best supplements for every vitamin? Would a daily vitamin be all that's needed? My vitamins haven't been checked I'm just curious
