  1. I would think that Knox Original Gelatine, unflavored and substitute the water with fruit juce of your choice would make a good jello mix. I would think that would work.
  2. Thank Peter. I did not know about vermouth. Gosh, ya learn somethin every day.
  3. Jerry: This is long ago learned information for me, I believe this is correct, but during periods of malabsorption, the body is starving and going after what ever it can to feed itself. I goes after the fat and muscle. Hence, SOME of us have very thin extremities, Biafra Belly (dated reference - kids in Africa who are starving and have those big...

  6. Laura: That would be me. Again, Triumph also has "The Essential Gluten-Free Restaurant Guide" 2006-07 edition. I would think that it would be invaluable to those newbies in large cities. It lists celiac friendly restaurants including those with a gluten free menus, listed by state. It also lists well know restaurants with gluten free menu options...
  7. I hope that I did not make a mistake. I just recommeded that cream sherry is wonderful in Progresso Cream of Mushroom soup. I am very concerned and try to be very careful to recommend products that I know for certain are safe. But then, I started thinking. I believe Taylors Cream Sherry is wine based. Now I am not certain. Can anyone verify...
  8. Connie: I just looked this up. Cambell's USA Chicken Broccoli Cheese Chunky, 18 oz is listed as gluten free. As Laura said, Progresso Cream of Muchroom is a staple in our house. It is good on it's own with a little cream sherry in it. THE CAMPBELL SOUP INFORMATION IS NOT GLUTEN FREE FOR CANADIAN, JUST US. Hope this helps.
  9. Colemans is the best and gluten free.
  10. Triumph Dining cards seem to be what you need. They are a series of about 5 or 6 laminated dining card in 5-6 languages. I keep mine in my wallet and have used it many time successfully. They can be ordered on line. Hope this was helpful.
  11. Rachel and Nancy: Thank you so much for sharing your research with us. I have tried to understand what you have written, although I have been in a deep fog recently. My gluten reactions are rare these days, but I have a serious problem with malabsorption. Back to the B-12 shots again. Which leads to ask of few questions" 1. Can Leaky gut can...
  12. Many of us have enjoyed McCormicks, it is gluten free. But, most are, due to distillation process in the alcohol.
  13. HEY JUDY, I WAS JUST REFERING TO THIS CURRENT THREAD. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY GOOD THOUGHTS ON THIS THREAD, I JUST THOUGHT THAT IT MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO COMBINE IT INTO ONE COMMON THREAD. THE TOPIC IS NO LONGER WHAT THE THREAD REVIELDS ( Another Morf) WHATEVER IT SHALL BE.
  14. I don't use it, but there may be a www. information on the bottle/container. I always feel better when I get a confirmation from the company. Cosmetics and personal products have these mega words that no one other that a chemist could tell.
  15. Once again, this thread has ventured off into left field. There are many valid points that are being made currently in the later part of this thread, as well as the early posts. With Karen's permission, who began this thread, I am wondering if a new thread could be started regarding "How to Improve the Forum" or other. Certainly, not to single out a poster...
  16. AGAIN!? Lisa, try some waxed paper. That might work better than a paper towel,
  17. Karen, Lisa doesn't need spell check: she has me. She went to a fancy, high rent high school in high rent McLean, Va. and I went to a small country school, with no indoor plumbing, in Podunk, Jerkwater Junction, NC. But we were taught to spell. To Lisa, animals live in a zooz, fish live in the see, you fly in a plain, ride in a kar, and she has a some...
  18. This is a great thread. I just got back home from a local restaurant (in a town of 6,000). The staff knows me, the kitchen knows me, my daughter works there part time while in college and I assumed. I ordered something that was proven safe for me to eat. But, I did not identify myself to the new waitress, and further to the chief who is well acquainted...
  19. Shut, I spent a great deal of time in high school trying to get into the in-crowd. As I expect that most of us did. I arrived as a Senior. I looked around and said to myself, "for this?" It sent me on a new road when I went to college, just to be myself. I have some life long friends.
  20. V: I have had no problems. Well, not related to that issue. Lisa
  21. While I was looking into this thing called Celiac Disease that I was told I have----a while ago. , it showed up quite often as symptoms. I do recall it in several of the book that I purchased. If there is a need for the exact reference, I will try to do that tomorrow. I would assume that it could be googled. Yeah, buttless, Lisa
  22. I am not certain about this, but there may be a link with elevated liver emzynes, elevated white blood count with Leaky Gut. Syndrome/Disease.
  23. Yup, that's me. If I could turn my torso around l80 degrees, I'd have a pretty darn good figure.

  25. If you are concerned about the side effects of the Pill, there are many new IUD's or Rings that may be available to you. Don't know personally, way way past that.
