  7. Surgery can certainly be a trigger for Celiac to kick in. I am glad that you doctor thought enough to do a celiac panel on her. But, I understand that they can rule in Celiac, but cannot rule it out. It's refered to a false negative. It should not take long to get her result back. Then you will know which direction to turn. I wish you both comfort...
  8. Oh my gosh, megga huggggggs to you Lisa. If I could sit with you and hold you hand, I would. It hurts my heart that you are doing this all on your own. We can talk about your appointment later, let's just get you...

  10. I do not think that you doctor is clear about Celiac. I was diognoses at 51. Celiac can be diognosed at any age. 16. When you go to a restaurant, you need to do your homework before you go when you are able to do that. No one wants to be unfair to the staff or the kitchen crew and less the management. We don't need to be cranky when we go to restaurants. We need to set good examples. Call ahead, take the the manager or the chief or take time to talk to them personally...
  17. Ana: Celiac is celiac. With a positive blood test and positive endoscopy that's a pretty clear definition. I, myself, when feeling my lowest, thought that I had intestinal cancer. And to be finally diagnosed with Celiac was something to celebrate. I did not have cancer or other ailments that needed drugs to cure, or just maintain. I can...

  19. Angie: The bottom line here is that you need to suck in all the information that you can find. Digest it all. And, then, do the things that are best for you and your family. If you can read labels, able to contact companies, rely with confidence with the good folk here, shut, what more would you need. She does not give you options, YOU do...
