    ARCHIVED Great Article

    Thanks for posting. Good article.
  2. bump? any information out there?
  3. I did some research on this after I posted this thread. Frey's Syndrome appears to be what I was describing. I have forgotten alot now, but it has to do with the glands re-routing themselves to the face. Perhaps when I was pre-diagnosed and had a highly dry mouth, things got re-wired. I do have questions about thyroid, but my bloodwork did not indicate...
  4. I have been researching because of continuing symptoms. Addison's Disease is adrenal failure, yet the symptoms are very much like Celiac. Both are autoinmunes. Do anyone have a history or information on Addison's. Thanks
  5. Neutrogena Mascara, newly bought and currently being used by my daughter. Yes, our food pantry has benefited tremendously.
  6. Lynne: Click here on this site on "Calender", it is listed. I viewed it yesterday and thought about you.
  7. I thought once you got mono, you could not get it again? Sorry Bev that you feel so crappy, but yet you ask about others. I do hope you get your mojo back soon. xxoo Lisa Rest well, a good thing that school is out. OOOH, I guess school is back in session.
  8. If you want to test for Celiac, you need an endoscopy exam ( down the throat ) with a tube that can extract 6-8 biopsy samples. Demand that they do at least 6-8 samples. A colonoscopy is a good routine exam and to test for other problems. The procedure is easy. Make sure that you bring someone with you, as you will not remember what is told to you after...
  9. FYI: MSG had no gluten, but some react...it is not gluten related.
  10. A lot of Mayo is gluten free, Hellmans and Dukes, are two of them. Vinegar is ok as long as it is not malt vinegar.
  11. I have been (as always, as best) for almost a year and a half and I am still learning. After an obvious gluten experience, I re-traced my steps. I knew that it had to be one of three things and I still am not sure. One being cornbread made by and older friend, who claimed it was "just cornbread", some do contain flour; second a shift from what I was...
  12. Sweetie: It sounds like it is inflamed and you do need to see a doctor. Don't wait until your big appointment. Get to a clinic tomorrow even if you have to wait. You can make up school late. Let us know how you're doing. xxoo Lisa
  13. Try some Swanson's Chicken Broth (not Organic) with some rice noodles, or rice. I hope that you both feel better soon.
  14. B: Thanks for keeping us updated. (sorry to be so short on words, Burts Bee's Strawberry conditioner, zapped me....shush, it's never ending).
  15. Welcome comments

  16. Not having children with celiac, I hesitated to post. I had the endoscopy exam and biopsy and it was a non issue for me other than the anxiety before hand. I do want to add something. Insurance is an important factor here with an official diagnosis. If you have a laps in your insurance policies, perhaps from a job relocation or other, some insurance...

  21. Yes, to the best of my knowledge. I would take your own soy sauce. When I want a good taste, I use wheat free tamari. La Choy is also gluten free.

  23. About a year ago someone posted a very detailed letter for schools. Do a search here, it may show up.
