  1. I'm wondering if anyone with lactose intolerance has symptoms that last for several days after ingesting lactose? I've been gluten free for over 2 years now and have started having some new GI issues in the past several months - namely, severe bloating that will last for about 5 days after eating the problem food. I'm sick of looking like I'm pregnant! I've been keeping a food diary and I think I have it narrowed down to dairy. I only drink almond milk, and cheese/yogurt don't seem to be a problem, but the past few times I've had ice cream or frozen yogurt it's given me a lot of trouble. (I'm positive the ice cream was gluten-free.) The stomach gurgling, gas, abdominal pain will only last for a day or so, but the bloating will stick around for several more days. Just wondering if anyone else has lactose related symptoms that last for so long? It seems like everything I'm reading says it should only be a day or two before the lactose passes through your system. Maybe it's something else about the ice cream. Any insight appreciated!
