  1. I've tried "gluten-free" breads ad infinitum and all of them make me feel pretty average.


    I was so determined to find something that would replace the delicious gluteny breads I loved. 


    Thinking back, I must have thrown out around two dozen half eaten loaves made by various brands.


    As a former bread/butter lover, I skip bread now as a rule.  It's been so long since I've eaten bread now, I really don't miss it any more.

I had severe gastric reflux for about 2 years before I started to take Nexium.  The only time the reflux stopped was when I did a fruit detox.  Little did I know at the time, the reason for the temporary relief was that I had stopped consuming wheat during the detox.  I just hadn't made the gluten connection back then.   Eventually my doctor recommended I start taking Nexium, so I eventually built up to 20mg a day which certainly kept the pain away, but my health declined quickly.  My hair went grey really fast!


    I did some research on Nexium and found out how detrimental it is to the human digestive system, so I began to look for alternatives.  That's when I discovered the connection between gluten intolerance and GERD.


    When I went gluten-free within days I no longer needed Nexium ... and I still don't.  I want to point out though that I am pain-free because I have specific rules about what foods I put in my mouth.  Everything is measured and natural - for me this is the only way to optimal health.



    The grey hairs are starting to me replaced with brown strands, which tells me my body is getting the needed nutrients again!

I noticed a massive improvement in my sex drive after going 100% gluten free - it took around 5 weeks before I began to notice a difference.   It's probably important to point out that I was and still am very strict with my gluten-free regimen so I am guessing this is why I noticed such an improvement.  My own research tells me that the reason for the improvement is that the hardening in my arteries has reversed significantly. Apparently, repeated consumption of wheat accelerates glycation which contributes to artery hardening.  


    I would recommend for any guy who with erectile disfunction and low libido to consider going 100% gluten free as a 6 week trial - just to test out the results.


    Another benefit to going gluten free is my pot belly is gone, gone, gone - after all these years my stomach is now flat!

  4. What do you do when you crave things you know are bad for you? I really feel like a lamington....


    easy fix...buy the Patties brand gluten-free Lamingtons in the freezer aisle from Woolworths.  They are surprisingly very nice!


    Obviously not a super healthy snack, but one is ok to fix a craving.



    Here are the ingredients:

    Water, Sugar, Strawberry Jam [sugar, Strawberries, Pectin, Citric acid], Dessicated Coconut (8%) [Coconut, Preservative (220-Sulphites)], Rice Flour, Maize starch,

    Contains: Egg, Soybean products and added sulphites.

  5. When dining out with gluten-eating friends/colleagues, I think cards are the way to, it's much easier especially when traveling overseas - here's some examples. You can get them translated which are really handy.


    If I don't want anyone at the table to know, if on business, I either look at the menu before hand and plan what I will eat, or give a card to the wait staff quietly on the way to the bathroom when I first get to the restaurant, 

  6. My biggest problem is feeling disconnected, spacey...and had bowel problems for the last three months 

    ....The disorientation is unbearable. I really forget who I am in those moments.


    These are classic symptoms of gluten intolerance for many.  Before going gluten-free I felt very disconnected - now I can really focus and am much more in the present.


    This has had a very positive impact on my relationships and business - I don't miss wheat at all !!


    The initial detox when kicking gluten can be uncomfortable, but for most it's a short term experience and it is absolutely worth it.
