I think Spicely brand of spices might actually be certified gluten-free. I use Morton & Basset, labeled gluten-free. Also consider magnesium deficiency can bring on headaches.

An excellent reference I would highly recommend:
Real Life With Celiac Disease: Troubleshooting and Thriving Gluten Free, authored by Melinda Dennis, MS, RD, LDN, and Daniel A. Leffler, MD, MS, associated with The Celiac Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (associated with Harvard). You may get some good nutritional ideas when you look at their recommendations.

Beverage got a reaction from Scott Adams in Furious, confused, and REALLY tired of this.
I had a lot of acid reflux before and after my Celiac diagnosis. I apparently had a slight hiatal hernia, as in following the procedures in this article for heel thumping, I actually felt something slither down and suddenly a lot of my symptoms were greatly decreased. I continue to do things in this article, and have had only minimal symptoms ever since, especially when I maintain the raised head of the bed, sip of apple cider vinegar before meals with protein (we need the acid to digest and not let the food rot), and heel thumping in the morning (or anytime it seems to be acting up). Also, DGL tablets after a meal with anything acidic or spicy helps, sometimes before sleep, as laying down can sometimes brings it on.

Beverage got a reaction from knitty kitty in Nausea and fatigue almost all day
Excellent info. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I'm taking 300mg benfotiamine, but since I had covid early last year, I've found a little asthma returning. I wasn't sure if I should increase or not. This really helps. And I'm going to research about that form needing the red blood cell to get across ... I have Thalassemia Minor, a genetic anemia and my red blood cells are small and little hemoglobin. I might try the other forms. Thanks again!

Beverage reacted to knitty kitty in Horrible situation
@Ericaagl,
I've been in the situation where seemingly everything caused some sort of reaction.
I followed the Autoimmune Protocol Diet. I ate small grass fed ground beef patties and a steamed vegetable like carrots, okra, or green beans. I ate very small portions, every two to three hours if hungry.
I did not eat sweet potatoes because sweet potatoes contain an enzyme (thiaminase) that breaks down Thiamine in the body, making thiamine unusable.
I did not eat fruits. Many fruits contain high levels of histamine. The more ripe a fruit is, the more histamine it contains. Bananas that are closer to being green have less histamine than a fully ripened banana with black spots on the peel.
(Bananas available today are a different strain of banana than was available when a banana diet was recommended by doctors for Celiac Disease. The Banana Blight, a black mold, killed off all the banana trees that produced the bananas I grew up with. The bananas available now have more fructose.)
Some fruits just naturally contain high histamine levels. Strawberries, avocado, and citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit and lemons have high histamine levels.
I also had Fructose Malabsorption Syndrome. Our bodies can only digest small amounts of fructose at a time. The remaining undigested fructose in our intestines can cause irritation, gas and bloating.
Additionally, some bacteria and yeasts in our digestive tract can ferment fructose, the naturally occurring sugar found in fruits, changing fructose into alcohol that we can absorb through the intestines. This is called Auto-Brewery Syndrome. It's basically getting drunk off of undigested fructose which is fermented in the intestines and turned into alcohol. (No wonder my doctors kept asking if I drank alcohol and thought I was lying. Heavy sigh.)
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30020718/
I chose not to eat anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). (Many gluten free facsimile foods use HFCS as a sweetener.) HFCS is also capable of being fermented in the intestines.
I was able to tolerate fresh dates. Dates are low in histamine and low in fructose, plus they have water soluble fiber which is great for the digestive tract.
In Histamine Intolerance, the body can't keep up with clearing the amount of histamine our bodies make as part of the inflammation process. Additional histamine from high histamine foods we eat only compounds the matter. I get the visual image of Lucy and Ethyl in the chocolate factory...
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AnHiAWlrYQc
By lowering the amount of high histamine foods we eat, we are helping our bodies cope. We also can help our bodies cope by taking vitamins (thiamine B1, Vitamin C, Pyridoxine B6, Cobalamine B12, copper and zinc) which make an enzyme called Diamine Oxidase (DAO). Supplements of DAO made from pork kidneys is available over the counter.
High dose Thiamine, a B Complex, Vitamin C, magnesium and Vitamin D will help regulate your immune response and lower your histamine levels.
Potatoes are a nightshade, as are tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant. They contain glycoalkaloids which promote leaky gut syndrome. In leaky gut syndrome, the glycoalkaloids make the cells of the intestines move away from each other, leaving gaps between cells through which food molecules can get into the bloodstream which increases inflammation. Cutting out potatoes and other nightshades is beneficial.
Gastroparesis is a symptom of Gastrointestinal Beriberi, Thiamine deficiency in the intestinal tract. I have had gastroparesis because I'm diabetic. About ninety percent of Diabetics (both types) are deficient in thiamine. If you are prediabetic, you would want to change your diet and supplement with Thiamine.
It's very doubtful you've still got gluten in your intestinal tract. It would have been expelled with poop. The autoimmune reaction, the level of anti-gluten antibodies can take a few weeks to months to calm down.
The AIP diet helps calm the inflammation. Healthy fats and proteins is where your calories should come from. Avocado oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, coconut oil, flaxseed oil and Omega Threes.
We want to eat meats because we need protein and fats to build muscle. Our bodies like to burn carbohydrates for fuel, but not for building muscle. Our bodies can burn fats and proteins for fuel. Thiamine is essential in turning proteins, fats, and carbohydrates into energy.
Hope you feel better! Keep us posted on your progress.

Beverage reacted to knitty kitty in Horrible situation
@Ericaagl,
Hello. I'm sorry you're having difficulties.
Your symptoms are similar to what I experienced with Thiamine deficiency. In Thiamine deficiency, anorexia and loss of appetite are common. I know I would lose my appetite. If I ate carbohydrates, I gained lots of weight quickly. If I did not eat gluten and carbohydrates, I would lose weight very quickly.
In Thiamine deficiency, the body changes from burning carbohydrates for fuel to burning fats. Without sufficient thiamine, the body tries to save what little thiamine is available by turning carbohydrates into fats that are stored, resulting in quick weight gain. Thiamine cannot be stored for long. Thiamine stores can be depleted in as little as a week.
While consuming gluten you would gain weight. Thiamine deficiency makes the body store carbs as fat. This stored fat is burned for fuel because it requires less thiamine to turn fats into energy, resulting in rapid weight loss.
So, while eating gluten, you gain weight (carb storage due to thiamine deficiency) and within a week of cutting out gluten (the time your thiamine stores ran out), weight loss results as your body burns off the fat.
Processed Gluten free facsimile foods are not required to be enriched with vitamins like thiamine. So eating processed gluten free facsimile foods would make thiamine insufficiency/deficiency worse.
In fact, Thiamine deficiency can actually worsen gastrointestinal symptoms (Gastrointestinal Beriberi). Our gastrointestinal tract has a limited vocabulary. So those worsening symptoms off of gluten, where you think you're reacting to some gluten contamination, is actually your gastrointestinal tract telling you it cannot handle high carbohydrate loads even if it is gluten free because there's not sufficient thiamine to process it. There's not sufficient Thiamine to make the gastrointestinal tract function properly. Digestion is affected. Thiamine is necessary to make digestive enzymes, insulin, and to squish stuff through the intestines. Alternating diarrhea and constipation (or any combination) is symptomatic of Thiamine deficiency.
Gastrointestinal Beriberi is under-recognized by the medical community. There are tests for thiamine deficiency, but blood levels are not an accurate measurement of depleted thiamine stores within the body tissues and organs.
The World Health Organization (WHO) says that thiamine deficiency can be diagnosed if improvement is seen with administration of 500 mg or more of Thiamine Hydrochloride per day over several days.
Thiamine is safe and nontoxic even in high doses. Doctors can provide an IV of Thiamine Hydrochloride. Since Thiamine is safe and nontoxic, receiving high dose Thiamine would not be detrimental.
I had improvement within minutes of receiving high dose Thiamine. Nutritional factors for disease are overlooked or ignored by medical professionals taught to prescribe pharmaceuticals to cover symptoms. If we give our bodies the essential vitamins and minerals our bodies cannot live without, our bodies can function properly and heal.
Every single cell in our bodies need thiamine. Thiamine is used by mitochondria inside cells to produce energy. Some cells have hundreds of mitochondria. Without sufficient thiamine, the mitochondria cannot make energy. Without sufficient energy, the cell cannot do whatever it is supposed to do. Mitochondrial dysfunction is now recognized as a cause of disease. Mitochondria need Thiamine!
High dose Thiamine and following the Autoimmune Protocol Diet has helped me.
Please discuss this with your doctor. I'm not diagnosing. This is what I learned from personal experience and research as a microbiologist.
Hope this helps!

Hi Erica, I'm glad you have your diagnosis, now you can move forward and get even better than you were. Thoughout both threads I don't see any mention of vitamins or a nutrient dense diet. Celiac Disease is a disease of malabsorbtion. Here's what the Merck Manual says: "Celiac disease is an immunologically mediated disease in genetically susceptible people caused by intolerance to gluten, resulting in mucosal inflammation and villous atrophy, which causes malabsorption... Treatment of celiac disease is a gluten-free diet ..Supplementary vitamins, minerals, and hematinics may be given, depending on the deficiencies. ".
You've already seen the benifit of removing the toxic gluten. Now your gut has to heal. Now that the opiod effect has worn off you will notice things will bother you. You will have to repopulate your gut with good bacteria that thrive on soluable fiber instead of the bad the love sugary carbs. Our modern wheat has proteins in it the turns on fat storage mode. Once that is turned off your body will self adjust to your optimum weight.
Dr Haas in 1920 succesfully treated children. I followed his diet for a while recently and felt great improvent. You are mostly doing it already, you can add 4% cottage cheese. THE VALUE OF THE BANANA IN THE TREATMENT OF CELIAC DISEASE SIDNEY V. HAAS, M.D.
Homemade dill pickles and saurkraut (salt fermented not commercial quick pickled with vinegar) is full of lactobaccilus which produces the lactose we need for milk as adults.
Inulin is a good fiber source. Vitamin D will improve mood, give hope and modulate your immune response. Vitamin B1 deficiency can cause all sorts of neurapathies, Choline helps to digest fat and not enough can cause gall bladder issues or even fatty liver disease, low iodine can cause thyroid problems, cretanism in children.

Allithiamine and Thiamax can get across the blood brain barrier without help.
Do try to get your Thiamine up to 500 mg at a minimum. Amazing things happen with higher doses.
I read an article the other day that found the SPIKE of Covid actually binds to the Thiamine Transporters blocking Thiamine from entering cells, and causing a functional thiamine deficiency. As the Covid Vaccine is based on producing antibodies that attack the SPIKE, the Covid Vaccine may be affecting the Thiamine Transporters. Without Thiamine, mitochondria inside cells cannot function leading to mitochondrial dysfunction. This could be the cause of Long Covid symptoms.
Keep us posted on your progress!

@Beverage,
Our bodies can absorb about 300 mg of Thiamine in about three hours, so I try to take my Thiamine with meals or a snack.
I take higher doses earlier in the day. Thiamine close to bedtime can make sleep elusive as I've so much energy and mental acuity.
Sometimes in the morning, I will take more Allithiamine (200 mg) and less Benfotiamine (100 mg) and at lunch or dinner I take Benfotiamine 200 mgs and Allithiamine 100 mgs. I will throw in Thiamine Hydrochloride (100 mg) with a snack or a meal.
It's really what works for you. Increase your doses slowly. If you start feeling yucky like the flu, back off the dose a bit for a few days. This is the "thiamine paradox" which occurs as your body adjusts to having a constant supply of thiamine and the body starts functioning properly. Sort of like a car backfiring if it hasn't been cranked for a bit. Increase dose again slowly as long as you're seeing benefits. Continue taking Thiamine for several months. Improvements continue to show up, especially in brain function.
I have Type Two Diabetes. Diabetics (both type one and two) tend to lose more Thiamine through kidney excretion than non-diabetics, so I like to keep my Thiamine doses a bit higher and spread out throughout the day.
Thiamine Tetrahydrofurfuryl Disulfide is the form of thiamine in Allithiamine and Thiamax and Benfotiamine. Benfotiamine and Thiamine HCl need a red blood cell to get across the blood brain barrier. The other forms can cross the blood brain barrier by themselves.
Magnesium is needed with Thiamine to make certain enzymes, so supplementing magnesium is important. I take Magnesium Glycinate, but magnesium citrate is okay, too. Just be aware that too much magnesium can cause really soft stools (so don't do high dose magnesium 😉).

Beverage reacted to itarachiu in Nausea and fatigue almost all day
Almost 1 month update, I'm doing almost great. No more nausea except from time to time. I'm doing great with histamine levels, I can now eat histamine foods, didn't tried large amounts but is fine with small amounts. My nervous system is fine, I do sleep now 7-8 hours without waking up.
However! I have SIBO now, I did start to eat with the histamine diet more and more carbs, honey and stuffs that feeds the bad bacteria and I can feel them in my small intestine how they produce gas 30 seconds later after I swallow food. I cut out the rice which are carbs 10 days ago, I was eating 2-300 maybe 400g of rice per day and seems they start to go away. I did research about SIBO topic and it can take up to 6 weeks to get rid of them. Syptomps... gas that do not pass it makes me bloated, gives me a little bit of nausea, stomach cramps, I feel very full after eating a small meal. Cause? Well... damage from celiac disease probably. Also this can be also the cause for my issue with histamine.
So right now I'm focusing more to manage SIBO, almost 0 carbs and I prepare my food with a lot of water to pass very fast so it will not stay too much time in the small intestine to feed the bad bacteria, I also drink water before and after meals. Right now it's my first time in my life when I don't eat any grain, maybe... maybe I will heal the intestine once for good. I increased the amount of fiber 3x times more than before to keep my hunger away. It's a little bit difficult without any carb to keep the hunger away.
I don't feel the cold anymore, my anemia issue is under control, I don't feel so dizzy when I walk on street anymore and no more brain fog! 0 brain fog!

Well here is another update! It's the Christmas day so Merry Christmas everybody!
So I have only good news!
Finally my health is really getting better and I'm again functional, in fact more functional than never, there are almost 2 month since on low histamine diet. Poop talk again! My bowel movments never been so normal in my entire life, I just can't explain how painless they are, I remember since I was a kid I was constipated, it's just how I was, probably I was born with this gluten intolerance gene and after about 2 decades turned into this auto immune disease... Luck? My parents fault because they knew I was constipated all the time? Society because they do genetic modification with foods? My fault because I was literally eating the worse things that you can imagine... I don't know... and right now I realised that even on a gluten free diet I was still in pain with the bowel movments, well not anymore, it was the lack of fiber. After the gluten free diet I said I will never eat any grain again no matter if it has gluten or not, no more grains, so I did this... well buckwheat is not really a grain but whatever... I introduced oats in my diet with the low histamine diet and no more problems with my bowel movments. I never eat oats in my life they are actually very tasty and they are full of vitamins and nutrients, I was looking specifically for something high in iron. My hands and feets are not cold anymore and they do feel almost like a normal person. What I also find intersting for the first few days of eating oats in my entire life I had some gassy flatulence, then my body got used too and I can eat 250g a day without gassy flatulence... makes sense because if I never eat oats in my entire life I didn't had the bacteria to properly digest this food and after a few days no more issues... well I will take this as a good sign because that means if is true the bacteria from oats remain in my gut, they like that area. Now I will eat things to keep the bacteria happy too, anything with fiber does not matter how it taste, I will eat these foods to keep these bugs happy. Seems if they are happy, I do feel happy too. Until now everything I eat was to make myself happy, well now I will think to these bugs too.
Some problems still persists, I do feel dizzy when I walk on street, more when is night and I'm a little bit tiered and less when is day and I'm more fresh. This can be a B12, vitamin D as well maybe? I do suppliment both maybe it needs a few months more to get better in this department.
That feel of nausea that I was complain since months, it almost... ALMOST dissapeared completly. I don't get it after I eat something anymore but I do get it before and after I have a bowel movment, is getting better anyway but is still there. This is was people are calling IBS, I was living with the ideea that IBS is related only to pains but IBS can cause nausea as well.
Also ginger is amazing too! It's amazing for histamine and it's amazing if you get nausea. Now I eat almost everything with ginger, it also taste so good!
So overall my gut health improved, is not healed, but I'm doing better, I can feel that with my mind, I can feel while digiesting the food there is no more pain or discomfort, even my close friends they are telling me, that I'm glowing, my skin is so shiny and my face is looking better.
I think this histamine problem that I have it is as I mentioned because of some deficienies, my gut was never healed even with a gluten free diet but I'm feeling like I'm on the right track.
EDIT: I tried also foods with histamine in small amounts and seems they are fine now, 2 months ago were causing me instant feel of nausea. I did start to eat liver because they are rich in iron, is not farm raised but seems my gut is happy even with meat that is not 100% clean/organic.

Beverage reacted to itarachiu in Nausea and fatigue almost all day
And... another update!
Mostly good news. I finally achieved what I was looking for, no nausea what so ever! I can't believe it, I was thinking that I will have nausea all the time for the rest of my life. I still got 2 reaction during the last update, one time because I did eat 1/4 of a honey jar, I just couldn't stop... well people that have histamine intolerance they should avoid anything that spikes blood sugar, refined sugar, corn starch even honey. As I mentioned I can tolerate a few tsp per day of honey or refined sugar or even corn starch which I believe is the worse however if I cross the line I get cramps in my upper stomach but no IBS or brain fog anymore like I use to have before finding out I have histamine intolerance. Second time if I cross the line with cheese, I didn't tried milk because I don't like the taste so I did tried milk related products cheese and cream cheese. I can tolerate milk or milk related products but again if I cross the line which I did tried to eat more than usual and I get nausea and IBS. I also tried just a little bit of pork liver and I think I'm fine. Anyway there is no surprise(for me at least) that what causes blood sugar to spike foods and milk related foods I don't get well with them, well... I have celiac disease, my gut has not healed even after 5 years of gluten free diet.
Another good news is that I think I don't have MCAS which is the next level of histamine intolerance. I still do research and try to learn but there is so much confusion however I don't have symtomps for MCAS. Most people with MCAS can't breath mold, they do have allergies to all kind of smells, they do get instant skin rashes on face and body parts which I don't have and I don't have any of those which let me to believe that I have only histamine intolerance which means I can't properly digest the foods with histamine and my bucket gets full(sort of speak) and when it gets full I experience symtomps like nausea and IBS and brain fog(in my case), others have different symtomps. Now because I keep a low histamine diet my bucket is not full anymore and I can tolerate foods that I coulnd't 1-2 months ago however the problem is the DAO enzyme supply is lower and in order to have the proper level of DAO enzyme I have to heal the gut which means I have to eat not inflamatory foods for god knowns... 6 months, 1 year, 3 years... I don't know but I know now what I have to do and what foods to eat. Another reasons could be, genetics, SIBO... well in my case I think is because I was misdiagnosed for celiac disease for a decade and I have leaky gut since then.
What I also learned that grilling the food raises the histamine and I get instant reaction and if I boil the same food I don't anything. I recovered half of my weight loss during my diet elimineation with low FODMAP which didn't worked. I don't focus anymore on foods that I can't eat and I focus on foods that I can eat and foods that I never eat before, I discovered new foods that taste so good.
Magnesium Citrate from Solgar was added as a suppliment, I take it with Vitamin D3 5000 UI, I plan to add Iron and B6 as well because they help to flush histamine from the body.
EDIT: I still wake up 1-2 times during my sleep but I fall asleep almost instant after I go to bathroom, I almost reached 7 hours of sleep per night so my nervous system is working better.

Yep, well after gluten free diet I cut diary products just because cow milk is for baby cows and corn I cut it because it was making me feel sick and because just like gluten it has a hard shell so personally I think is poison. Even after I found out that I can tolerate it I will still stay away from corn as much as I can but is good to know that in some processed foods if it is as ingredient I can be fine with it.
EDIT: Also I can't believe how sharp is my mind, is so clear. I had brain fog and dizziness in my last 15 years to the point that became what 'normal' is for me.
EDIT2: I took this morning my blood sugar level on empty stomach with that electronic device from my father which has diabetes type 2, I have 86 blood sugar level which is too normal.

Some of our food intolerances/sensitivities can disappear after we get good healing of the gut. I am so glad to hear you are doing so much better. You have been great about keeping us updated.

Beverage reacted to itarachiu in Nausea and fatigue almost all day
So! 2 weeks update(almost). I'm doing great, in fact better than never. I put back 1 kg, I'm still skinny, I never felt nausea with 1 exception when I did swallowed 1 rancid pistachio. Histamine intolerance diet is very strictly just like gluten, if you eat mold even a tiny amount you get a reaction.
The answer to my post is, histamine intolerance was the cause for why I felt nausea all the time even after a gluten free diet, 5 years I guess since I was diagnosticated. After I got COVID a few months ago and healed my health was just as when I was undiagnosticated with celiac disease.
I included in my diet a little bit of cheese, cream cheese, very carefully with ingredients, it has to be pasteurized and without anything else, sugars, etc... I was surprised to see that I can tolerate it because I forgot when was the last time when I eat cheese or milk related products. Cassein which is found in milk is a problem for celiacs. Some recommended that kefir or bacteria from milk helps with leaky gut but I have my personal theory... cow milk is designed for baby cow, end of story. The reason why I included in my diet is because I want to put some fat back.
I tried again honey, I can tolerate it in small amounts, even refined sugar, but it has to be in small amounts otherwise I get stomach cramps/aches but no nausea!. Also I included Vitamin D3 suppliment, winter is coming, no more sun here.
It's been almost 1 month on low histamine diet and I can't believe how much I recovered, I feel better than never... like when I was a child 20 years ago and not having any health issues, this is how better I feel, I just can't believe it. Thank god I don't have MCAS which is a permanent version of histamine intolerance where you require treatment and you have more triggers. In my case is just intolerance, probably because of a leaky gut or vitamins deficiencies. I will buy still consider to buy a DAO suppliment/enzyme, just to have it for special occasions like restaurants, familly events but I want to fight this with no treatments. All I have to do is to don't abuse histamine foods and let my gut to heal for 1-2-3 years and then I can be normal again(without gluten of course) and without abusing again my old diet which was 90% high histamine foods. Now I know... The truth is that my old diet was actually mostly healthy but in my case was poison.
Almost forgot, I tried some glucose bar, made only from corn starch syrup, no issues, I can't believe I can tolerate also corn. I tried corn after 1 month of gluten free diet 5 years ago and gave me the same reaction as gluten.
EDIT: I never felt IBS in my last 2 weeks, NEVER, IBS is gone... GONE! I had IBS my entire life, even before I start to have health issues from gluten 20 years ago, IBS was pretty much the first symptom which was always present on daily basis. Now is gone and I can't believe it.

@VeronicaTheCeliac,
How are you doing? I hope you're feeling better.
How disappointing to realize you've been glutened halfway through! We've all realised a smidge too late....
Things I do to help when I get glutened....
Stay hydrated! Try not to drink sodas, coffee and black teas. These have caffeine and can act as diuretics and may contribute to constipation and a long transit time for those meatballs.
Try Oolong tea instead. Oolong tea contains an amino acid, L-Theanine which helps heal your digestive tract. Oolong tea is very relaxing because of the L-Theanine content which helps me as I tend to get mentally stressed worrying about how bad a reaction may be.
Follow the Autoimmune Protocol Diet. Cut out all processed foods, all grains, legumes (beans and pulses), dairy products, eggs, nightshades and other high histamine foods like orange juice.
I make broth or stew with meat and veggies. I make sure it's cooked until very soft and tender. This will allow for easier digestion. Eat small portions more frequently to keep your energy level up.
Migraines and fatigue can be a symptoms of low Thiamine. We need more Thiamine when we are emotionally stressed, ill, or physically active.
I take Benfotiamine, a form of Thiamine that has been scientifically shown to promote healing in the gastrointestinal tract. I have migraines, too, and have found Benfotiamine helps immensely.
Some Celiacs keep a bottle of Gliadin X, a digestive supplement that helps break down accidentally consumed gluten, on hand in case of sneaky meatballs. Gliadin X is a sponsor on the forum, but it really works!
Hope this helps!
Let us know how your recovery is going!

Beverage and Knitty Kitty,
I agree that is good research. I have been looking for a dietary fiber that agrees with me....
I take Glucommanan from time to time......but I somehow havent taken a liking to it the way I thought I would....
I will definitetly look that up at the Vitamin Shop (to see if they have it)......or my local supplement shop to see if I can order it.
Since Knitty Kitty mentioned the Natural Killer (NK) connection....
I though I would sight this research (though when I get time I want to post in a separate thread) or the Magnesium thread......
But it could be helpful too here as well....
If you have Natural Killer cell problems then you have Magnesium issues!
See this research
Entitled "Mg2+ (Magnesium) regulates cytotoxic functions of NK and CD8 T cells in chronic EBV infection through NKG2D"
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23846901/
IT is truly amazing all the ways Magnesium help make and keep us healthy!
It also explains how and why EBV is associated with Celiac disease and seven other auto-immune diseases becasue we get low in Magnesium and the NK cells become Cytoxic.
See this research about it entitled "Epstein Barr virus linked to seven serious diseases" including Celiac disease.
https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-04-epstein-barr-virus-linked-diseases.html
I hope this is helpful but it is not medical advice.

Not eating seeds and nuts is no longer recommended for diverticulitis. You can do an internet search and see that that advice has changed in recent years and is now considered a myth. Here is one example: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/diverticular-disease-greatest-myths-and-facts/
My sister has diverticulitis really bad, had a section of intestine removed. On my recommendation, she been taking this, from larch trees:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CTTSY79/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As long as she stays on taking this, 1 tsp a day, she hasn't gotten another attack. Caution, though, need to drink lots of water.
I learned about IAG from my naturopath that diagnosed me with Celiac's. He had recommended it for intestinal healing at first, and I seemed to heal quicker than I expected.
I had an attack of diverticulitis 1 time, when I wasn't taking this daily, haven't had it since going back on it now. My sister and I eat all that stuff that you were told not to eat, just not a lot of steak or longer meat fibers, not because of diverticulitis, but I just don't like to eat that. I do eat ground beef though, organic grass fed. And I eat tons of salad and veggies, a little flax seed here and there, berries, tomatoes, all the good stuff. Not sure about the corn, I don't eat much except because of Celiacs, corn tortillas. I think as long as you are getting tons of various types of fiber, water and veggies, and with the IAG powder, which is a natural antibiotic, you will have much less incidence.

Beverage got a reaction from knitty kitty in Testing for comorbid auto-immune disorders?
I felt better after my diagnosis after a few months, but still lagged in energy for a long time Good quality B vitamins, with methyl forms, like Designs for Health B Supreme, or Procaps Labs High Potency B-Complex really help. I also take Liquid Health B12 recommended by someone here and B1 oil form Benfotiamine recommended by KnittyKitty. All that helped but recently, I discovered the flush form of niacin, nicotinic acid, and wow, a huge improvement in energy. I'm 65 (66 on Monday) and am stronger and can do more hard work than I have in decades.
Look for the flush niacin that people complain gives them a flush, that does not say slow release or anything like that, not niacin in form of niacinamide (mide's are synthetic or modified forms of vitamins and that's now what you want). Flush niacin has been around for years, used to lower bad cholesterol and raise good, lots of benefits. I tried it before I got covid in January, then increased a bit to recover after covid and recovered way faster than anyone around me, faster than any vax'd or unvax'd friends.
Start at like 100mg nicotinic acid, the first flush is the worst, red all over, really warm, may be itchey. But after that, it should be a nice warm cozy flush. I was taking 500mg before I got covid, then after I increased to 2000mg for a few days and bounced back really quickly. Now I'm sticking with about 1000mg about 5 days a week, this dose for me now is barely a flush and no itch.
