My child has poop three times a day, celiac test so far inclusive, just want to ask how many times your child goes to poop?
-
my daughter is 6.5 years old, I already know she carry dq2 gene, her celiac panel came back its like this.
deamidated gliadin iga 37 (moderate to strong positive is over 30)
deamidated gliadin igg
ttg iga
ggt igg
endomysial antibody iga
all negative
can positive only on gliadin iga indicate celiac?

my daughter starts to loseing weight(about 1.5 kg) from july this year, and her stool color has changed lighter too...so it made me to pusue some test on her.
anyway,my childs celiac blood test back negative(inconclusive) but she does carry dq2 gene,so I just let her go gluten free since august, her weight still not gaining.back much yet but like stacys son, her behavior and anxiety is gone after go gluten free...don't know could be other iillness to cause hersuddendly loseing weight...I'm just worry about her...hope can know the cause soon!

do you let your son 100 % gluten free?? at school too??

My daughters blood test back only has Gliad IGG positive, but her Gi doctor said it didn't mean anything, why? I thought positive it's positive, any idea???

my daughter did stool test from enterolab
but this gluten sensitive blood test is from Open Original Shared Link

by the way, I do find the lab who does the gluten sensitive test
Gluten Allergy IgE Test
This test is used to determine if a person has an allergic reaction to gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Roughly 1 in 30 adults and 1 in 40 children suffer from a Gluten Allergy. An IgE test looks for antibodies which develop in a person who has a particular allergy. Gluten Allergy can display symptoms similar to other conditions such as Celiac Disease. Unlike an allergy, Celiac Disease can do permanent harm to the body if left untreated. Allergy testing when a person is experiencing symptoms can help identify or rule out an allergy as the cause.
Gluten Allergy is typically less severe than other Gluten related conditions like Celiac Disease. People with Gluten Allergy will often experience abdominal discomfort, bloating, gas, constipation, or diarrhea when they eat products containing gluten. These symptoms usually stop when a person cuts gluten out of their diet.
A Gluten Allergy IgE test can be ordered to help determine if someone allergic to gluten. This test can also be ordered when a person is testing for Open Original Shared Link and has had negative results on Celiac specific antibody tests. An allergy test can also be ordered prior to Open Original Shared Link to rule out Gluten Allergy as a likely cause for a person’s symptoms. -
so does it mean a person who carry dq2 or dq8 gene will have high chance to develp celiac disease if they continue to eat gluten or some other stuff trigger it??
-
thanks for your input, the reason I do the blood test is because I found out my duagther has it recently and she carry dq2 gene,so must be from my husband or me...im in the process waiting for my genetic test back,,by the way,I do have lots of celiac symptom,so it could be gluten sensitiive you said, thanks again.

Hi All
this is my blood test result
1.immunogloblulin serum 203 ( 87-350)
2.Deamidated Gliadin IGA 4 ( 0-19 negative)
3.Deamidated Gliadin IGG 3(0-19 negative)
4.Transglutainase IGA <2 ( 0-3 negative)
5.Transglutainase IGG <2 ( 0-3 negative)
does it mean most likely no celiac ? thanks.

I assume my daughter has celiac ,I let her on gluten free diet for about 1 month now.( her behavior /sensory issue has improved lot)
she test negative from the blood work, only IGG positive but doctor said it didn't mean anything,so I order stool test for her and genetic test from a lab,it back she carry dq2 gene and positive for gluten intorance.
I guess if she continues to eat gluten, she will eventually develop real celiac .
-
thanks,I did consult GI doctor but since her blood test were negative,so the GI doctor don't care what her lab test are which I order myself...and regarding the endoscope, she has been gluten free for 1 month,so for sure the test will be back inclusive...
but she did improve a lot without gluten on her diet,so I'm very sure she has gluten sensitive but just don't know if its celiac or not for now.

my daughter has dairy /egg/soy intolerance, plus recently found out gluten intolerance and possible celiac, I have read some article said once you remove the gluten from the diet and gut starts to heal, then your other food intolerance will disappear(,I hope it's true,I feel like to cry everytime think about my 5 years old can't enjoy like other kids....
-
thanks for the reply, Yes,I suspect my child either has gluten sensitive or celiac, but her blood test back negative, so I order stool test for her from enterolab, her test back giadin IGA and ttg Positive,so does it mean she has celiac or non celiac gluten sensitive?
-
I have lyme disease and same as my 5 years old daughter, and recently I just found out she has gluten intorance and possible celiac ( has dq2 gene),I believe lyme will destroy your body and cause lots of food sensitive,so I think the point is we have to treat lyme and repare gut ,maybe when the gut heal one day,we no longer has food issue, unless a truly case of celiac, then still need gluten free forever.
-
my childs genetic test back with dq2 and dq1...lab person told me one is with celiac gene and another one is gluten sensitive gene,so what do I do for now?any idea?
-
she is negative from blood panel, but tgg slight elevate from enterolab ,very confused if its only gluten interance or celiac..
-
my daughter also has lyme ,now possible celiac from my guess, her test result is like your daugthers ,positive for iliad igg and slight high for ttg,im doing more test for her from enterolab for now.
-
my 5 years old is loseing weight and difficult to gain weight,I let her pedriactiran order a celiac blood test
result are
Gliad igg-- positive
tissue transglutamina igg 11.0 ( should be under 15ml)
gliad iga--negative
immunoglobulin a--122( should be 25 to 154mg)
so what does it mean gliad igg positive?? the nurse said it's negative for celiac?
-
Does anyone know if your tissue transglutaminase iga is 15 ( should be under 10) from the enterolab means you have celiac or it can be gluten intorance too??

good memory! I do bring my daughter to consult celiac doctor at university of Chicago ,we may repeat one more time of celiac panel to decide do scope or not, doctor also told me only gliandian Iga positive it’s usually not what they look, so I’m postpone scope for now, thanks for your reply , wish you good health and I wish my daughter will not have truly celiac .
