  1. Seeking a roommate to take over half of a 2 bed/2 bath in Silver Spring, MD. Would be about $1,125/month. I'm a grad student in DC and I've been here for 2 years now. Would love to share the kitchen with someone gluten free so that I don't need to worry about CC. I have a large cat and am queer friendly, so feel free to reach out or share with friends!
  2. Yeah it did good for my anxiety for the 2 days where I was using it. I did end up getting glutened by its possible it could have been something else (I ate mushrooms over the weekend, usually have good luck with them). Any brands that are safe?
  3. Scary stuff. Glad you are feeling better Julia. Thanks for all the replies everyone. I had thyroid tests on an unrelated issue and all seemed well. Might try thiamine but I may just be lumpy I'm afraid.
  4. Recently started using CBD oil, just in tincture form. Been helping out with anxiety and insomnia but I read something today that it could be glutenous if its processed on shared lines and, ironically, its been causing me anxiety. Reached out to MedTerra who I purchased from any got this prompt response: Not sure if this is legal CYOA or what...
  5. Quite possible. Never been confirmed one way or the other and Drs usually don't correct me when I suggest they are lymph nodes
  6. As long as I can remember I have had an enlarged lymph node on the side of my neck, but in my teenage years I got a few more (one on the back of my head, one directly where my neck meets my head in the front). I suspect they were with me pre-celiac (can't be sure) but they've kind off always been around. Most Drs seem disinterested in them and say its normal...
  7. I love to cook but I find myself staying indoors too often. Looking to get better at packing food. My workplace doesn't have many gluten-free options nearby or places to store food, so I am wondering what you would recommend for weekly mealprep? What are some staples you rely on? What food travels well (especially during the summer). Etc etc.
  8. Great news! Glad its not EoE. Pro-tip: instead of giving up coffee you may be fine to switch to cold brew. Substantially less acid and more caffeine (so you can drink less). It isn't quite as good as the real thing, but you can make it the night before and it can help you ween off the hot stuff.
  9. 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar, an egg, vanilla. Top with sea salt, chocolate, nuts, whatever and bake for like 10 minutes. Let them air dry for a day or two (if you want a more cookie-like mouthfeel and texture) Not the healthiest, but its refreshing to have a baked good without arcane ingredients.
  10. Already had the displeasure of going out for Chinese/Sushi with friends and navigating the veritable minefield that was the menu. Unless I find a trustworthy chef I think I would stick strictly to nigiri and sashimi-not that I can complain about that. As soon as I get tamari I am going to start carrying around a shampoo bottle of it. Luckily uni is still...
  11. I (fortunately) don't have anemia or ulcers. @TexasJen: let me know what you hear back about your diagnosis. My GI just told me that 6 weeks of flovent sometimes cures it. Went to great lengths with insurance to get the flovent and even then its a small fortune, so hopefully it works. I can eliminate gluten no problem, hell I could probably even get milk...
  12. Had digestive issues, severe reflux, dysphagia, and bloating on and off for two years. Went to GI, got endoscopy and blood test which confirmed celiac. Been gluten free for about 3 weeks now; feel great although my body is still adjusting. Additionally I was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis; basically asthma in my esophagus. A biopsy confirmed...
