  1. I have struggled with insomnia since I was a teen. It went away for alot of years since I had my children, but has recently come back. I don't like taking anything unless I have to, but I take the tylenol simply sleep when that happens to me. Its not habit forming, and it makes me a little more relaxed at bedtime. I hope it gets better for you .......Julie

I took Tyloenol simply sleep last night because I haven't had a good night sleep in ages. So I

bought a pkg of simply sleep and took two tablets last night. I thought I would go crazy My whole

body was burning my muscles felt like they just wanted to get out. You heard of restless leg syndrome,

well I think I had restless body syndrome after taking Tylenol simply sleep. Has anyone else had this

    happen to them?

  2. I love Kinickkinick Pancake and waffle mix I even have my husband eating them, beats mixing up

two dif. bowls and fry pans. I also like their english muffins I split mine in threes. I also split the

hamburger rolls in three's. Kinickkinick bread and bun mix is really good just have to mix it with

milk and water. The first day I tried the bun mix I made 5 rolls I ate the first one with butter then

another, and another, my husband asked me if I was going to eat all and I said I might they were

so good and so easy to make< I also like the kinickkinick sandwich bread for sandwiches and their

raisen bread is great toasted. I order on line and when I get my order I put it right in the freezer. We

do not have a store near us with Gluten Free Food, the closest one takes us over an hour to get to and

then they are out of the bread I want. I also order my cereal Enviro-Kids Peanut Butter Cereal and

The Enviro-Kids Bars. on line I can get Zone Bars at Wal-Mart The Strawberry and the Chocolate Graham are the only ones gluten free. My problem is I stay hungry all the time. Does anyone else have this problem?

  3. looked again today, still can't find it

I can't find it either. I looked at whole foods in Cary, North Carolina and

they didn't have it. I have to travel 50 miles to the nearest store to find

my Gluten Free Products. Food Lion, piggly Wiggly,Lowes Foods,

Harris Teeter stores around here do not carry anything.

We don't even have a support group around here.

  4. We hope to be going camping as soon as it warms up some.

We have a Pop-Up Camper and just a very small Refridegerator

How long will the hamburger rolls, english muffin and bread

keep if not frozen. Haven't tried it yet only been gluten-free for 3 months

now. Finally found a store that has gluten-free products. Whole Foods in

Raleigh and Cary NC. 100 miles round trip so will have to stock up

whenever I go. Appreciate finding out if it will be alright if they are

thawed out for a couple of days. Hope to be gone for about a

    week in May or June.

  5. thanks patti, yes the bette hagman feather light flour mix asks for potato flour, not starch..I'll have to see if I can find it

I am having the same problem with finding Potato flour. I did find Potato Flour Mix, but not the plaing

potato flour. I also have the bread baking recipe book by bette hagman and I have been unable to find

the potato flour. Can we use the Potato Flour Mix in the Featherlight Recipe???

  6. I got the buns....I think they were basically like the Engish muffins. Both are great! This is unusual with gluten-free bread products, but both the buns and muffins are THICK....and have a soft nice quality. I always toast the English muffin (split in half--so big I can only eat a half at a time), but I thawed the bun and made a hamburger and it was quite good....my only complaint was that it was actually too thick for me!

I ordered the pizza crusts but haven't tried them yet. I'm glad to hear they're good! :P

I also thought the hamburger buns were too thick, but very good. I would like them better

if they made 6 buns instead of 4 and then I think they would be perfect. I thought I died

and went to heaven. We go camping and I was wondering how long would they keep it

not kept frozen? We don't have a freezer in our Popup Camper.

  7. I used to have to go to a local health food store to get the Ener-g tapioca bread. But now one of our three Kroger stores carries it. As for the Tapioca light bread, I have to get it online. I believe, but may be off a bit, that it was like 17 dollars for a case of six loafs. The downside is that shipping was like five/six dollars and it takes took ten days to get here. What state are you located in? sometimes you can find gluten-free products at regular stores.

I live in the Eastern Part of North Carolina. East of Raleigh North Carolina

    Where do you live?

  8. Bread had been the most frustrating part of being gluten-free for me. I have probably tried ten different kinds. I finally found some premade bread that works. It seems like alot of them have to be toasted just to be useful. For toast, I use Ener-g Tapioca bread. It tastes just like regular people toast. For sandwiches, I used the Tapioca light. It tastes just like regular white sandwich bread and doesn't have to be toasted to be edible. I was so happy when I found it.

Do you order your bread on line or are you lucky enough to have a store

close by where you can buy your bread? I do not have a store near me

to buy any of the gluten free products. We have Whole Foods but it takes

us and hour and half to get there. Is it cheaper to order on line what about

the shipping charges. I don't know what is good and what is not. I was

    diagnosed December 2005.

    Amen, sister!

Butter and jam on a rice cake is quite good... :D

What kind of Rice Cakes do you use that are Gluten Free. Quaker Oats

    Rice Cakes have Gluten.

  9. Hi new here but just wanted to let you know i lived in Greenville, NC for over 2 yrs went to see a entrogast dr named Dr. Cole at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. He was very caring, compassionate and did all the possible testing he could. Not sure if he is still there this was 4 yrs ago but i highly recommend if he is to try seeing him.

I am also looking for a Doctor. I was diagnosed in Dec. 2005 and I have

muliple diet problems besides Celiac-Sprue Disease. (high cholesterol -

Diviticuli and Diabetes) My GI doctor just told me to go on the Internet for Information.

I do not know anyone with this Disease and the BCBSNC health dietician was no help. I am

getting very discouraged. Pitt County Memorial Hospital is only an Hours

drive from my house. What kind of Dr. is this Dr. Cole?

  10. I eat wraps made with corn tortillas a lot. I eat turkey wraps, but you could make them with salad mix and a little dressing? Maybe some avocado?

Rice or corn cakes with peanut butter are always good too - extra protein!

I eat brown rice and steamed veggies with a little wheat-free soy sauce sometimes too.

Does she have access to a microwave? Amy's soups (many of them - read the labels) are gluten free and vegan and yummy!

    Hope that helps!!

I called the quaker Oats company and they told me I could not eat thier rice cakes.
