I have always reacted to Mi-Del Cookies, exept for the oreo-style ones. Avoid them like the plague!

Thanks for the head's up. I'll check the bags I have. I thought I might have reacted to them last time. Bummer. Someone needs to tell Miss Roben's and other gluten-free suppliers. I think they are still selling them!!!

I was reading the ingredients of the gluten free/wheat free labeled Mi-Del cookies. Under the ingredients is an allergy warning stating that the cookies are made in a factory that also produces wheat products. I'm confused by this because wouldn't they then be a risk for cross contamination? Is it different for people with a wheat allergy?
I eat the oreo-like cookies just fine but I have strong gluten reactions to all their other supposedly gluten-free cookies......So, I avoid Mi-Del like the plague.....Too bad there are no regulations on "gluten-free". I would say they have cross-contamination issues. I won't buy anything if its made in a factory that makes gluten products...

I use soap and shampoo from gluten free savoinere (gfsoap.com). I have used Tom's of Maine in the past but they have started using wheat in somethings. I prefer to go the route of "no contaminatio possible". Use Lavera brand mascara, though most cover girl is fine too.

And speaking of charcoal. I've found that I have gluten reactions to water that has been filtered through "charcoal filters"!!!! I use only spring water or I purify my own with ceramic filters. Anyone else ever have problems?
