  1. I have been gluten free for 3 years. Before I was diagnosed with celiac, my period would last 3 days and only happen once every other month. It started to normalize once I took gluten out of my diet. Recently, I believe I’ve been glutened somehow because I am extremely tired, my head hurts, and my anxiety seems to be through the roof. Not only that, but my period is two weeks late. I’m curious as to whether or not one instance of being glutened has be possibility of wrecking my cycle? Or maybe this is just a rare instance in which it truly is late and all my symptoms are because of it being late? Note: im not malnourished nor is there any chance of me being pregnant.

If you are 100% gluten free(which includes beauty products and soaps) then it will probably take over 6 months for the gluten to leave your system and you will see major improvements in your symptoms. I say that you should continue to eat gluten free, probably get tested for celiac(if you haven’t already), and be extra careful about what your touching and what you’re putting into your body. It personally, took me over 2 years before my body started to normalize and the symptoms went away
