  1. i just turned 16 this year too. Just the other day i was asking my dad if he thought i would get any taller and stuff like that. i'm only 5'2" and it seems like i have been that height for a while, but then we found out about my celiac. Now i am just wishing i will have a growth spurt...at 16
  2. a couple of years ago i was experiencing difiicult breathing. i kept feeling like i had to take big deep breaths over and over again like several times a minute constantly. even though i was taking deep breaths i felt like i wasnt getting in enough oxygen. at first they thought that maybe i had anxiety but that wasnt the case. i went to a GI and they found out it was my reflux causing it. they put me on prevacid and i have been better ever since. Now after being gluten free i have stopped taking prevacid and i have been totally fine when before it was pretty severe.
  3. what time of day would you guys say is the best time to go running. in the morning, evening, or sometime in between? track is over for the year (i ran long distance) but i want to stay in shape for soccer in the fall, plus i just love running. so what time do you guys go running at for those who do?

  6. what kind of camp will you be goin to? i am goin to a girl's camp in the 2nd week of june, its a church thing so there wont be tonz of people and i know everyone and they know my condition. Make arrangments before hand to know what sort of cooking devices will be available and bring food for the meals you cant eat also ask ahead of time (like a week before camp) if they know whats goin to be on the menu. good luck
  7. i also love to play soccer and i love running. i am on the track team. whats ultimate? thats cool that you can speak Hindi.
  8. i am totally confused. are you the same person as wannaenjoylife? just wondering lol
  9. Muffins

ok well heres my favorite recipe for muffins PUMPKIN MUFFINS 1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour plus about 3/4 to 1 teaspoon xanthum gum 1/2 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder mix all together just until flour moistened. bake a 400 for 15-20 1/2 tsp salt or until done. makes about 12 muffins. 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 cup milk we always double the recipe and add chocolate chips to these. 1/2 cup canned pumpkin you can also substitute the pumpkin applesauce and make 1/4 cup melted butter or oil apple sauce muffins. the flours we use are feather light blend 1 egg ( 1 cup rice flour, 1 cup tapioca flour, 1 cup corn starch, 1 tbs potato flour) or we use the 4 flour bean blend- warning batter taste nasty but flavor goes away and bakes wonderful. we also use carols gluten free mix and if you want that one i will tell you
  10. i live in Idaho. what about you, where are you from and how old are you? for lunch i bring rice cakes with peanutbutter, sandwhiches made with gluten-free bread, ham lettuce roll ups, chips with a dip, gluten-free crackers with pb, cereal and buy milk at the school, leftovers sometimes (that kinda grosses me out to eat cold), muffins(homemade), salads. along with a main dish like up above i always bring 1 or 2 small things like fruit, string cheese, carrots, cookies, pudding, baked goodies, etc. so have you been diagnosed with celiac?
  11. hi kassandra! i just thought i would mention that kassandra is my name too, but everyone calls me kassie. i will be 16 in 30 days (may 31). how long have you been suffering from symptoms? well i hope you get things figured out with your diagnosis stuff.
  12. Muffins

i love muffins too! and i eat them at least 1-2 times a week for breakfast. i make the same recipes as befor but just substitute gluten-free flours and add a 1/4 tsp of xanthum gum per cup of flour. it works great and no one knows the difference
