Im allergic to gluten, almonds, oats, barley, cadida yeast, aspiragillys(molds), broccoli, cabbage, clams goats milk, kidney pinto navy and soybeans, pork, sesame, spinach and canola oil. I don't know what to eat now. I've always eaten say at olive garden or anything and had terrible stomach pains like labor. Then run to the bathroom. Or constipation i cant go for a week or so. I tried spark vitamin drink had gluten, soy powder allergic. Health bars larabars gluten. My weight can be 129 one week 120 next or go to 104 fast. Not sure what to do now. How can regain my life back? Could i have celiac not ibs? I have 3 other auto immune system diseases. Any food resources would be great and vitamins with no soy or gluten. Plus beverages. Ive had hives a month now from my almond butter gluten and vitamin drinks lol steroids and epi pen. Oh and high cholesterol. So everything i ate to lower that im allergic to. Plus a list of secondary allergy foods a mile long.

Peanuts, Almonds, Pecans, etc...
DBray posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
We had and issue with nuts lately. We started REALLY looking at the labeling but we figured - They are nuts, how could there be a problem, but I still got sick after eating them. My wife started making calls - a lot of calls - and she wasn't getting many answers. Well, we finally got some answers (took about 3 weeks). Here is what we found - Surratefarms.com has Pecans that are Gluten Free. The grower is in Texas and they gave me Surratefarms. There is no gluten in their plant - we bought some and when they come in, we will see! Fisher Nuts (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten Emerald Nuts (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten Planters (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten All of them indicated how careful and how ... and there shouldn't be a problem ... with the way I feel - sometimes good, sometimes not so good - off my list. Wonderful almonds, Wonderful Pistachios, Blue Diamond almonds, Hammonds Black Walnuts are all packaged in Gluten Free facilities. -
Hello! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. But long before that I had most celiac symptoms and my diet at that time consisted mostly of wheat-based foods. I tried the gluten-free diet to very good results, but I had problems with almonds and popcorn. Unlike what everyone says they caused me some serious constipation for a week and I also had burning face/head/ears/neck (toxins?) while having cold hands. I felt like fainting and got anxious/nervous easily. I stopped eating almonds and popcorn altohether and got better. Fast forward to the last week when I ate some wallnuts and I got constipation again and I know the nuts are to blame as I have the same itch down there after going to the toilet (which is very hard and the first day I reacted was almost impossible). So here are my symptioms after eating nuts and popcorn: - constipation - almost impossible for me to defecate - head pain/dizzyness - hot flashes in face/head/neck - racing heart - belly pain and feeling like puking - anxiety/nervousness Please tell me, should I give up nuts as well as gluten? I hope its not toxic poisoning or something. I am going to do a 3-day detox and the candida diet. Is there anyone else here that had similar symptoms? It's like nuts block/stop my digestion. Yet every website out there says they actually help constipation.

Kirkland Dry Roasted Almonds (Costco?)
Nikki2777 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Hi - my husband bought that big container of dry roasted almonds at Costco yesterday, and I had a few handfuls. Yes, I know it says packaged on the same machinery that may handle wheat, but I've had no problems with Kirkland nuts before, so I took the chance. Afterward I felt a little 'jittery' in my hands (had difficult writing an e-mail on my smartphone), but not my usual gluten reaction and could just have well have come from hardly eating anything yesterday. So, I know now I shouldn't have risked it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else had had problems from these. Also, I haven't had any issues with Planters dry roasted nuts, but maybe it's the dry roasting? Thanks.-

Green Bean Salad with Toasted Almonds and Cherry Vinaigrette (Gluten-Free)
Jefferson Adams posted an article in Gluten-Free Recipes: Soups, Sauces, Dressings & Chowders
The versatility of green beans to adapt to different flavors makes them an incredible side that compliments almost any meal. This is a beautiful dish that blends ease with elegance. The nuttiness of the almonds contrasts tartness of the cherries and because the beans are blanched, they cook to crisp perfection. This salad makes for an incredible bite. Cherries are high in iron and antioxidants and their flavor lends this dish to be enjoyed by even the pickiest of veggie-phobes. Ingredients: 1 ½ pounds green beans 1/3 cup minced shallots 2 tbsp chopped mint 1/3 cup dried cherries ½ cup toasted slivered almonds 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 3 tbsp plus 2 tsp red wine vinegar 1 ½ tsp kosher salt 1 tsp sugar Preparation: Cherry vinaigrette can be made up to one day ahead. Keep covered and chilled; bring to room temperature before re-whisking to serve. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, shallots, red wine vinegar, mint, salt and sugar. Stir in cherries and set aside. While a large pot of water comes to a boil, fill a large bowl with ice water and set aside. Add beans to boiling water and let cook until tender and crisp, no more than 5 minutes. Drain and transfer beans to the ice bath to cool. Drain once more. Toss cooled beans with the cherry vinaigrette and almonds. Sprinkle with black pepper and serve on a platter.-
