What type of gluten does Chili's Chicken Enchilada soup contain? Wheat, barley, or rye? I am not sure and I accidentally ate some. This determines if I go to the hospital or not. Does anyone have an answer before I have to go?
I understand that there are quite a few restaurants that have gluten free menus. My question is, do most of these restaurants prepare the gluten free items to where they will not be cross contaminated? Applebees, Chilis, Red Robin: these are just a few of the places that I know have gluten free menus. Any ideas?
I went to Chili's the other day, They have a Gluten free menu. The last time I went there I didn't ask for the menu , I just ate what I thought was Gluten free and had a problem (Their corn chips are NOT gluten free! Pfft!) any hoo I asked If I could look at their Gluten free menu and he said ohh yea sure , he went and got it , he handed it to me and said I could keep it!! I thought that was super nice of him!! I'm just sayin
or at least it wasn't for me! I was told by different online sites that our Chilis (Savannah) provided a gluten free menu. I decided to give it a try. Ordered completely gluten free stuffs. Explained to them that I not only had celiac but also had crohns, and asked several times to make sure they were indeed gluten free. I couldn't believe the flare up I had! I called them and asked them about their menu.....they told me that they boil veggies in the same water that noodles were boiled in.....hello???!! That's NOT gluten free. They apologized and sent me coupons (which was awesome of them btw) and I decided to go back....and the flare up happened again to spite the fact I was even more careful at what I had to eat. This flare up I had was no joke. I'm simply not going back. What do you do to make sure you don't get cross contamination at resturants?
