Celiac.com 07/23/2015 - Gwyneth Paltrow and Taylor Swift anchor this week's gluten-free celebrity news. Gwyneth Paltrow is set to launch a new organic gluten-free meal line with her famous trainer, Tracy Anderson. According to People Magazine, the new line will be called 3 Green Hearts. However, Paltrow's gluten-free foods will not be available in the local grocery stores, but only to visitors at one of her two Hamptons fitness studios. That's right, 3 Green Hearts products will be available in the Hamptons, and only in the Hamptons. So, if you're gluten-free and happen to be on Long Island, by all means, get yourself over to Paltrow's studios for a gluten-free celebrity meal. Now, 3 Green Hearts could catch on and grow beyond the Hamptons. Reports by the Daily Mail, that the venture will also include business partner Maria Baum, would indicate that the whole thing might be poised to move beyond the wide lawns of the Hamptons. Meanwhile, back in Manhattan, Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend Calvin Harris were spotted munching salad and gluten-free pizza at a small pizza place. A source told E! that the pair ordered salad and two gluten-free pizzas. Swift and Harris recently adopted a gluten-free diet. Celiac.com 02/12/2015 - Gwyneth Paltrow is making gluten-free celebrity news again for helping her longtime stylist go gluten-free and drop some major weight. David Babaii is one of Hollywood's top hair stylists. In addition to Paltrow, his celebrity roster includes Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Uma Thurman, among others. After working with Paltrow for about 10 years, the man Vogue-crowned the "king of curls" had ballooned to 285 pounds with a 44-inch waist. At just five feet five inches tall, he became compelled to lose weight. In a recent exclusive with Marc Malkin in eonline, Babaii opens up about how Paltrow and Equinox trainer Will Castillo helped him lose 135 pounds in just four months. Babaii says that Paltrow was very supportive, non-judgmental, and encouraging of his efforts. When Babaii asked Paltrow about gluten, he says she advised him not to do anything drastic, and to take it slowly. And, armed with determination and with Paltrow's support and encouragement, Babaii began his transformation in earnest. Of course, being a personal of Gwyneth Paltrow has its perks. In Babaii's case, whenever he was hungry or in need of support, he could "email her any time of the day and if she wasn't sleeping, she'd reply right away," he told Malkin. "She would say, 'Try this. I think you'll like it. It's not boring.'"
Celiac.com 05/24/2013 - Gwyneth Paltrow is gluten-free and on a publicity swing as part of her role in Iron Man 3 this spring. In an interview in Self magazine, Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow spoke a bit about the benefits of eating gluten-free, and about her gluten-free cook book due out next month. The 40-year old actor explained how giving up gluten has changed her life for the better. For one thing, she says, she feels lighter and more relaxed. Before going gluten-free, Paltrow says she had "a lot of unexpressed anger. I made everyone else’s feelings more important than my own. I’d suck it up and then be alone in my car yelling at traffic or fighting with hangers in my closet when they got stuck together.” Paltrow has been derided by some for perhaps being too strict with her children's diets, by some for making her children a gluten-free diet, and by others for allowing them to break that diet. But the "Iron Man" star explained to Dr. Mehmet Oz, that the dietary restrictions were due to her children's allergies, rather than stern parenting style. She said that Moses, 6, "has very bad eczema and he's allergic to gluten and she [daughter Apple, 8] is allergic to cow dairy." She adds that, at home, she tries "to make everything gluten-free for him because the difference in his comfort is unbelievable when he's sticking to what he's meant to be eating." Paltrow's new cookbook, "It's All Good," details how she steers clear of processed grains when feeding her children, and goes out of her way to avoid gluten.
