  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Does malt flavoring have gluten in it? I've been sick lately but i can't figure it out.
  3. My doctor recently just told me that when I have accidently had gluten I can take probiotics and that will help with the pain. Not long after that I did accidently have some gluten and sure enough i took the probiotics and the pain was much less severe. Next time you get sick try the probiotics, they're a life saver.
  4. I am so glad that there are restuarants that are becoming more gluten free friendly. I went into Outback Steakhouse for the first time not to long ago and they had a gluten free menu. I was so shocked because I haven't found any other restuarants that do that. Are there more placed with these menus that I don't know about?
  5. Im going to Australia with a group called People to People Student Ambassadors this summer but im nervous about getting sick when im there. Does anyone have any tips of how to travel and be gluten free?
  6. I found something that helped me very much when eating out, a gluten free card. I went to my nutritionist when i was first diagnosed last summer and she gave me a card from Living Without magazine. It's a card that says what gluten is found in, what foods may contain gluten, and what i can eat. Its a great card that i just give the waitress and she gives it to the chef who reads it and tells me what i can and can't have on the menu. Its fantastic, I love it.
  7. you can make a flourless choclate cake. Its thicker then regular cake but you don't have to worrry about reading ingredients and stuff. Here are some recipes i pulled off the internet.. http://frenchfood.about.com/od/chocolatede...chocnoflour.htm http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2007...te-cake_11.html Only tip for these recipes is if you add vanilla extract make sure it alcohol-free because the alcohol in vanilla has gluten in it. The gluten free vanilla will be alot thicker but it won't affect the cake. Also, watch out for some gummies because some companies that make things like swedish fish use flour....so my only advise about the candy is just read the ingredients carefully.
  8. I just found out that the University of New Hampshire has a gluten free section ( gluten free fridge, toaster and tons of food) in each dining hall. I was so scared that when i went to college i was going to be making all my own food. I was wondering if anybody else knows of any other colleges with gluten free sections?
