    Can anyone help me find a DR in the Cincinnati/N.KY area that has actually treated patients with Celiac. I have seen one gastroenterologist that doesn't have any celiac patients. He could tell by looking at me that I did not have celiac! Thanks in advance for any help! laryssabeth
  2. I previously posted a question about "keratine", but my spelling was wrong. The blood test was for "carotene". The DR said that it was "borderline" and I had a small bowel biopsy, which I have yet to receive the results from. Does anyone know what the normal range for carotene might be??? By the way, when he told me that the carotene results were...
  3. I saw my dr today and he said my CAROTENE (I spelled it wrong to begin with) was "borderline" so he was sure to get small bowel biopsies to be sure. Apparantly if you have celiac, you don't absorb carotene (vit A??). Thanks for all of your help. Beth

  5. Hi! I'm new to the site. I saw a gastroenterologist on Monday for my symptoms of chronic diarrhea, bloating, gas, apthus ulcers, angular chelitis. I told him that my uncle was diagnosed with Celiac Disease recently. He flat out said "You do not have Sprue"and "Your uncle is not close enough to you to be concerned about".
