  1. I certainly plan on trying them when we're up in a few weeks!
  2. We'll be up in 3 weeks for a family reunion (I'm in Springfield, about 3 hours south). My cousin cut out the article (that was in the Tribune or Sun Times, I think) and sent it to me. I'm so excited! I will definitely try it.
  3. Wow! We ate at Smokey Bones this evening - the first time since I last posted (see above) and they have a Gluten-Free menu! I was thrilled! I had pulled pork, steamed broccoli and cole slaw. They don't carry the asparagus any longer in Springfield, IL. The menu lists apples, but I didn't know for sure if it was the cinnamon apples or not. I'd assume so...
  4. Wow, I will have to try that. I've never heard of Flat Top Grill. I live in Springfield but visit Evanston often (was there 2 weeks ago) and Bloomington whenever I need to go for work, or something like that. I will definitely keep it in mind! Thanks.
  5. Wow! Good to know! We ate there a couple of weeks ago right after I figured out I had Celiac but wasn't dx, yet. I was too scared to order anything, and whatever I did order made me sick immediately (of course, most things made me sick, I was always eating something bad at every meal and didn't know it.)... Thanks for the advice. I love pulled pork!
  6. I don't have any gluten free experiences there, since I was just dx last week, but my family vacationed in Asheville last year and it is an extremely "organic" and "natural foods" type of place. I doubt you'll have any problems finding gluten-free food there. Good luck. Hope my response isn't too late.
  7. Add me to the list! My main symptom, chronic D, started about 3 months after my oldest son was born, 3.5 years ago. I "controlled" it by eating fiber wafers and not drinking milk. After the birth of my second son 3.5 months ago, I got a lot worse. I also ended up in the ER at 6 weeks PP, very malnourished. I had lost about 20 lbs. at that time and lost...
  8. I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  9. Hi All! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Amy and I'm from Illinois. I'm new here and this is my first post. I just got the results of my blood test today. Just curious... Do you think I have to have the biopsy done if I got these numbers... Reference for both IGA and IGG test: less than 19 - Neg. 20-30 - weak positive 31+ - positive IGA...
