  1. Update on how things went. To meet my daily quantity of gluten I had a measured amount of gluten flour with my breakfast and 2 slices of bread later in the day. I still had discomfort but it wasn't debilitating. My blood tests results came back this week and they were positive so I've been referred to a specialist.

What I've tried so far: - 4 slice of white bread spread throughout the day (mild stomach pains) - 3 slices of white bread throughout the day and 1/2 pint of larger in the evening (the larger quickly caused bloating and wind) - 3 Weetabix for breakfast (bad stomach pains that took all day...
  4. Probably not, unfortunately, but I'll ask my doctor. On reflection I think the difficulties might just be because I've been experimenting with how to eat the 10g of gluten and I had 2.5 days of bad experiments.
  5. Thanks, this is really useful. The gluten challenge is proving harder than I anticipated. I'm going to stop the challenge and go back to my doctor and ask about this.
  6. I think I'm going to be ok with 10g but I'm going to experiment as to how and when I eat it, e.g. spreading it throughout the day or 1 large sitting.
  7. Last year I self-diagnosed that gluten was causing me problems and so in November I went gluten-free. Last week I visited the doctor so I could get a proper medical diagnosis. The doctor told me that I have to reintroduce gluten into my diet for 4 weeks prior to testing. I obviously want the tests to be valid but I also want to keep the disruption caused...
