I was first told I probably had celiac in early april. My blood test was very very high. I was sent for biopsy last monday which came back positive for celiac.Now here is where it gets tricky for me. I was told by many that I should quit eating wheat ect right now. Never touch it again. Then my doc told me to slowly ween myself off it so its not such a shock...

Thanx for your reply. After reading your bio I feel lucky to only have wheat and lactose intolerance. What do you eat with all your allergies? I should ask. Back pain is not new to me. I have had two back surgeries. A disc fixed in 1999 and then a double spinal fusion in 2005. So back pain is not a unusual for me. But too me there are two kinds of back pain...

Im still trying to get used to this forum and how to find topics, So this may be posted in the wrong area. Today I found out I have lactose intolerance as well as the gluten/ wheat. I am very new to this site only being diagnosed two days ago(april 7,2008).I have to say i am very scared and very frustrated. Thank you for answering me.You have cleared up my biggest worry> the biopsy. My brother was diagnosed with a mild wheat allergy 3 years ago. That was around the time i got very ill. I have had aprox 16 stomach surgeries in the las 12 years for things like fubroids, and cysts. I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 25. 2 years ago i had surgery once...
