I have been gluten and dairy free for 2 and a half days now. That awfull gas is nearly gone, my high blood pressure is going down.I even lost 5 pounds. I am very hopefull. This morning my wife was making a pound cake because she is having her friends stop in tonight. I did not touch anything involved with the cake, but the smell of it baking was driving... -
I start the gluten-free diet in 4 days, I have seen conflicting opinions about if Celiac and Lactose intolerance allways go together. I was thinking of doing the Gluten free for 3 months, and then if there was not enough or no improvement to stop the dairy as well. Is this the right way to start? Thanks

Thanks- Even though I use cayenne pepper in the flour, It still seems mild to me. I will go with the rice flour. Yhanks

The whole famiIy loves my chicken and sausage gumbo. would like to know what gluten free flour could I fry the chicken in and that I could use to make a good roux for the gumbo. I had mine done 10 days ago. I was sedated for it, and it was completly painless. Not even a sore throat, and I remember nothing about the procedure. You will need someone to come with you to drive home. Relax and don't worry about it Good Luck Jim -

Thank you everyone for your advice. I am going to start the gluten-free diet next weekend. It is my birthday and I want to wait till after then. I just received the results of my biopsy today. The Doctor said it was negative. I had previousl had 2 bloodtests that showed borderline positive for celiac. I have had a lot of the symptoms ever since I can remember- and I am 52!. I am extremely disapointed, I thought this was the answer to a lot of my health problems.
