Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know that I took my daughter to another Ped GI DR and he said that her bloodwork was enough to determine celiacs disease- he did not recommend the endo at this time. My husband and I are going to be tested- to see if we have it. I am relieved that he did not insist on the biopsy. My gut feeling told me to go to... -

Over the past four years my daughter has been to so many specialists. They basically were giving her medicine to combat the celiac symptoms. They thought she had ADHD- therefore suggested meds for this- she did not respond. I finally said - I need to look at her diet more closely. Also forgot to mention that she has graves disease- which is a thyroid auto-immune problem and usually coexists with celiacs. -

I am glad that I found this forum. My daughter tested positive to celiacs- the following are test numbers endomysial AB (IGA)--Positive Endomusial AB Titer 1:160 (normal range is <1:5) Tissue Transglutaminase AB IGA 58U/mL (range- <5) IGA, Serum 137mg/dL range (41-368) I do not want to get the biopsy that is scheduled for this...
