  1. I was tested and had a smaller list that was just sensitivities. I did the rotation diet, avoided ALL gluten and still was getting sick. (not as bad but still sick). So this summer I was tested again and I was told to avoid all of these other foods (I was basically told to go on the eat for your blood type diet). I followed that for months now. Now if...
  2. I was tested both (before or during) and then again months later.
  3. Thanks. I eat salads (LOTS of raw fruits and veggies, beef, buffalo, salmon and turkey). I am pretty much eating the same things almost daily. I sometimes throw an egg in. LOL :-)
  4. Thank you. My symptoms have improved. I still have weakness and I am going on day five of insomnia. :-( However, the joint pain is pretty much gone now. Thank goodness. My mom is my hardest one to be around. She makes a big deal out of bringing my own food, etc. I have not tried going out to friends houses yet. Along with the gluten problem...
  5. Welcome, I was just recently diagnosed (this year). It is taking it's ups and downs on me as well. I am gratefully to have such a supportive husband. I am glad to hear you are sticking it out nad making this your new life style. It is definitely a challenge to get used to. I have to give up: String Cheese Chicken ...
  6. Thank you to both of you. As scary as it is to give up on the eating/socail live style that I have had for 35 years, I am going to be a LOT better at sticking with it now. The out come of it possibly not reversing itself after time is a LOT scarier. Thanks again. Wish me luck! :-) Again.....I am glad to know I am not the only one out there.
  7. Thank you. The times have been getting longer with each "cheat." I was worried that it was something more because I had never heard of anybody else with these issues. How long have you had this problem? Do you have celiacs or sensitivity? Thanks again. I need to get a stronger will power!
  8. I was told to go gluten free about a year ago. I was also given a whole front page of other items (foods/herbs/etc). to avoid. I live with my husband and teenage son. Neither of which are gluten-free. I am looking for new friends that can relate and have fun while dealing with the same issues and enjoying life. I am not looking for people ONLY from...
  9. I was tested almost a year ago and told I have severe gluten sensitivity and a list of other foods to avoid (takes up a whole front page of paper). I do fine when I avoid all of these foods. However it is difficult at times to follow so many restrictions. I have done it and every once in a while I slip up and eat with the family. At the beginining I...
  10. Thank you. I was starting to feel like it was just me. I did buy some clorox wipes for the house and some for my purse. Just in case I am unable to get to soap after an encounter. I just call myself "Monk" now when ever I go any where. Hahaha. I am glad to know that others are experiencing these same things (not that I would wish them on anyone...
  11. Recently I had to go COMPLETELY gluten free due to DH. I had to get rid of my laundry soap, make up, shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, etc. I had to replace everything with gluten free products. Is this common? I am so super sensitive that I am now afraid to even touch people out of fear that they do not use gluten-free products. I went to a...
  12. Thank you SO much for this post. I have been conflicting over getting tested or not. I have ALL of these same symptoms. I also get the "drugged feeling" almost instantly. It seems as soon as the food hits my stomach. I have read all that I can find on celiac and it did not seem that these were symptoms of it. (or atleast not all of them). I also...
  13. Thank you. Tomorrow I am going to go to a Dermatologist to see about getting a skin biopsy for DH. I am a little scared because lately my memory and brain have been a little off. I feel a bit lost inside myself. Strange I know...I just blew it off as nothing but I am starting to think it might be something.
  14. I was wondering if anyone else when they eat Gluten (and for me diary as well and possibly soy), do you get neurological issues almost instantly? When I eat (as I call it "forbidden" foods) I instantly get a "Nyquil" feeling head....I get extremely tired. My vision is correct but funny. I get weak muscles and sinus pressure. Is this normal for celiac...
  15. Hello everyone, I live in Delavan, WI. I have yet to be officially diagnosed. I did post some questions and my symptoms in the "pre diagnosed" section. If anyone feels like reading and helping with their advise. I would greatly appreciate it.
  16. Hello everyone, Here is my story. I would appreciate any input. As far as I can remember, it started about two or three years ago. I decided to start eating healthier and working out more. Once I did that and lost about 20 pounds, I noticed that I would get sick to my stomach when ever I would eat greasy foods and sweets. (I thought nothing of...
