  1. I am SO confused about this mix. Since I have been gluten-free (about a year now), I have eaten this as a dip mix. I realize that MSG is bad for you, but I don't react to it and this is one of the very few foods I eat it in. My concern is that I had gotten lax about reading labels of things I commonly eat and know are safe. Today I just happened to turn the...
  2. Thanks for the input, I will increase my vitamin intake to make up for the bread loss. No I never got tested because the doctors always attributed it to IBS and sent me on my way. Looking back I should have been at least a little more proactive about getting a blood test at least, but I'm already on the diet now and not turning back for a challenge.....
  3. I haven't been 'sick' with any sort of upper respiratory (throat, nose, etc.) type of cold in YEARS. Ever since I stopped working at a gas station where I came in contact with a lot of icky germs, I have been healthy as a horse (minus digestive issues of coures). I started the gluten-free diet 5 days ago, and today I can feel a bad sore throat brewing...
  4. I have seen lots of places locally popping up with gluten-free dough offerings. My concern was that all these places obviously also make plain old pizza dough and there must be huge amounts of flour kicking around! What are you experiences? Do you think that these businesses are being careful about CC, or are they just offering the gluten-free dough to...
  5. I have only been on a gluten-free diet for 5 days. The first few days I made Chex a staple. The first few days I also felt worse than ever. Today I felt pretty good for most of the day, and then this evening I had a bowl of Chex and almost immediately felt awful. Maybe I have a CC'ed box, maybe I react to something else in it, or maybe it's just a coincidence...
  6. This is also what I am doing! I thought after all I have read with the horror stories of people being misdiagnosed for years and doctors not truly understanding the condition that I needed to just do this on my own. Maybe it's not the right approach for everyone, but I'm a low-income person that can't afford to be tested for everything in the book. The first...
  7. When I was a kid I remember having horrible stomach pains often and an ultrasound for it even, then for a very long time they went away. About a year and a half ago I started randomly having symptoms that included diarrhea and stomach pain but only when I was really really really nervous or stressed. This past July I went through a stressful situation...
