  1. Thank you. That helps alot. I have had different tests done by different drs. I am gathering it all so I can take a look at what tests I have had and which I haven't. It is confusing b/c I have had different doctors, been on and off gluten (which affected results), had 1 inconclusive biopsy and tested positive for both genes. Thanks for replying...
  2. Umm...I am not sure. I am waiting to get a copy of everything so I have it in writing. Over the phone the nurse just said "IgA TTG". Thanks
  3. Can anyone here help me out...I found out my IgA was a 4 and normal is 0-3. I am going for endoscopy (my 2nd one), but I am breastfeeding, so I am holding off a bit. Any thoughts on this IgA result? My DR said it is a just slightly higher than normal so does that necessarily mean celiac? Thanks, Debbie
  4. Does anyone understand the results for the ELISA IgG testing? My gluten score was 0.515 Does anyone know what that means!? Thanks, Debbie
  5. Hi everyone.... In my search for answers through my GI, I realized that over a year ago my Naturopath gave me a food panel test before I went gluten free. ELISA IgG and my gluten came back high...0.515 Wondering if anyone has any info about that particular test result. I haven't really factored that into my other results from my GI. Thank you...
  6. One more question (since everyone is being so helpful I did a food panel with my Naturopath a year ago before I went gluten free. He did the IgG Elisa and my gluten was 0.515 Does that mean anything to anyone? I am assuming it means I have a sensitivity to gluten?!? Thanks, Debbie
  7. That is what I was thinking. You can't have "a little" celiac, which is why I was so frustrated after doing the gluten challenge and having the endoscopy I was hoping for a more definitive answer. I have not even spoken with my dr. All this info came via his nurse and a letter in the mail. I am waiting for him to return my call. A friend's husband who...
  8. Thank you all... I can't figure out why it is so important to me to have a definite diagnosis. I guess I know I am going to go back to gluten free again, so now is my chance to find out for sure!?!? My mom had it. I think if I knew for sure I would be more careful with my children?!? I also feel a diagnosis will be the difference (for me) in looking at cross...
  9. Hello~ I am looking for a little advice and would be so grateful if anyone has any input on my situation. I was off gluten for 9 months. Did a gluten challenge for 3 months and did bloodwork and biopsy. Tested positive for both Genes, negative for celiac panel, and endoscopy results said "inflammation of small intestine suggestive of early or mild...
  10. I really don't know what to tell you except I am in the same boat. Although, I have seen a GI and had an edoscopy that told me I was "suggestive of mild/early celiac".My blood work was negative, but I did test positive for both the celiac genes on the DNA tests. SO...same here....do I just "self diagnosis" or keep trying for a more firm diagnosis. In my heart...
  11. I was thinking of doing the Entero Lab too....wondering if that might be more info to help me put the pieces together!?!?
  12. I am somewhat in the same boat. I tested positive for genes and negative for blood work. I had been gluten free for 9mos so I did a 3 month gluten challenge in order to do a biopsy. The results of the biopsy were sort of inconclusive saying I showed signs of "suggestive early/mild celiac" and they want me to continue eating gluten for 3 more months and do...
  13. I would give it longer...I just did a 3 month challenge and the results were "suggestive of mild/early" celiac. DR wants me to do 3 more months on gluten and do the endoscopy again!!!!!!! It might depend how long you were gluten free???
  14. THANKS for the responses. Here are some answers to your questions... My mother had celiac. I do worry about my kids and that is another reason I want to know 100%, as opposed to just diagnosing myself. My daughter seems gassy, can be irritable and has a bit of a belly on her. The only concern I have for my son is he is small. I did feel sick during...
  15. Hi... This is my first time to this website. Just looking for some advice. Wondering if anyone has had similar biopsy results or has any opinions about what my dr. told me. Just a little background: I tested negative on the celiac panel bloodtest; positive for both genes on the DNA test; was gluten free for 9 months and then did a 3 month gluten...
