    My 14 year old daughter is about 7 weeks gluten-free - just past diagnosis. Of course we are trying very hard to make sure she is getting no gluten.     Being Celiac has nothing to do with allergies. The body's response is different. I am lactose intolerent but am not allergic to milk. A celiac will not test positive on an allergy test for wheat unless they are also allergic to it.

    My DD was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Her antibody labwork all came back with moderately high levels, negative biopsy, and a genetic positive test with DQ8 Homozygous (10X) result.     My daughter has been seeing a GI for 3 months. Her celiac panel came back positive, her biopsy was negative. We had to wait 3 weeks to see the doc so I thought maybe we can try gluten free eating.     My 14 year old daughter is in the process of testing for Celiac. Her blood work panel IGA and endomysial came back positive. Her scope biopsy showed no damage.
