  1. thank you for your thoughts. I am seeing my specialist this afternoon and see what she thinks. I hate when I have to admit my mistakes to her. I should know better.
  2. Just wanted to taste it. Not my brightest move.
  3. Yesterday at the baseball game my son was having nachos with the fake cheese and salsa. I couldn't resist. My husband told me not too but I, stupidly said "It's not real cheese so a little should be ok". Now today I have body aches and swollen lymph nodes. Is this a symptom of being caseined or maybe the actual flu? The last time I got glutened I felt similar to this but now as bad. Any thoughts?
  4. I don't have a problem thinking of it as a diet. This is a life choice. It is poison you are putting into your body. For me that makes all the difference. I say "oh, look there is cake. Yum. Oh that's poison." It no longer feels like I'm deprived. I hope this helps.
  5. I'm also low maintenance. I couldn't believe I would have to "think" about what to make and "PLAN". I've only been doing it 2 weeks and I have to say it's not too bad. It's actually less fuss 'cause you eat simple. No big complex meals. I hope you find comfort knowing you are not alone.
  6. That's funny. I always ask my husband. Is it really hot in here? Usually he says "no". I'm so hoping that I'll be "normal" after getting my sensitivities in check. I can't tell you how relieved I am hearing stories like mine. I've never met anyone that has had this problem. thank you, thank you....
  7. good to hear. There is hope
  8. get the book "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? When My Lab Tests are Normal." by Dr. Kharrazian. I was beginning to think all my issues where in my head. My doctor recommended that I read it and I'm now on my way to better health. The doctors can only test for certain things and then the "refrence range" is based on your community results. So you could have issues but have "normal" readings.
  9. thank you all for the replies. I HOPE to get some relief from the heat being on a gluten-free diet. I have thyroid tests done and they always come back fine.
  10. Does anybody get really hot sometimes? I'm wondering if this is a symptom of Celiac. For as long as I remember I've always been the hotest one in the room. I am miserably hot. ALL THE TIME. I'm not talking about heat flashes. My house is so cold people that come over bring sweaters. Just wondering if anybody else has this problem. I've never met anyone else that suffers from that.
  11. party twin you are an ispiration. I too have many symptoms. I was the thin one and got carded occasionally. I'm now the fat one and was carded not too long ago but for a senior citizen discount. I also atributed my aches and coordination to my rapid weight gain. about 100 pounds in 6 years. Spent tons on money on different doctors, medication, therapists, accupunction, massages, etc. My new doctor tells me I have probably had gluten problems since my early 20 but possible since birth. All that damage done. I'm hoping I can at least get to where I feel better and look better. Weight gain, bad skin, rash, massive hair loss. I don't mind hurting I just don't want to look like I hurt. I don't think I've fully excepted it yet. So difficult to eat when you have two picky boys and a picky husband. I don't really like to cook so to have to make two meals now is torture. I've always been about easy going, not a lot of fuss. Not a lot of pampering. but now I have to put all this energy into thinking and planning. AHHHHHHHH
  12. I sometimes feel like I've been hit by a truck. I have to get a massage before getting an adjustment at the chiropractor. I was also walking like an old lady and having to watch the ground so I wouldn't trip. I just thought it was due to my fast weight gain and that I didn't know where my "new" body center of gravity was.
  13. You sound just like me. In fact my husband and I are in therapy 'cause I'm not who he married. I don't know who I am. I did the opposite. I was healthy, happy and "the life of the party". Now, I gained 100lbs, I feel horrible and it's hard to move. I've lost all my strength, muscle. With EBV I am unable to exercise like I should. Talk about hair loss. I used to have enough for 3 people. the envy of many hairdressers. I now only have enough for one. I know that sounds selfish but I would be bald if I didn't start out with LOTS. I just want to be healthy. thanks for listening
  14. I don't have the blisters but was always told I had foliculitis. I have had the itching without the rash for about 20 years. Now if have a rash all over that I've had almost a year. AND I noticed a few months ago that I am getting psoriasis. I just want it all to go away and be "normal" again.
