  1. Bob's is the only bread mix I've tried so far. Anyone tried any other ones? I'm trying to decide which I like best so I can buy in bulk online & get a discount.
  2. I just made my 1st loaf of gluten-free bread this weekend & it was FABULOUS!! I found out that my bread machine even has gluten-free recipes in it (added bonus) and it made a nice, large loaf of bread. I love Udi's but it's the smallest bread I've ever seen. I used Bob's Red Mill Homemade Wonderful bread mix & I love the way it turned out. Some...
  3. I know I'm a little late on this posting but I just contacted Starbucks and here is the response they gave me: Thank you for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company. Starbucks is unable to guarantee a "gluten-free" environment in our retail locations due to the potential for cross contamination with gluten-containing products. The open environment and...
  4. Awesome, that puts my mind at ease! This forum has saved my butt so many times...what would I do without you great knowledgeable gluten-free people?!?
  5. The drug is Beyaz w/Folate by Bayer. I know it's relatively new on the market. At least they were able to tell me that there are no gluten ingredients in the drug.
  6. Awwe you are too kind kareng! Yes GlutenFreeManna, you are NOT losing your mind!
  7. I agree, nothing like making your own broths & soups!! I wanted to give these a try instead of throwing these away. I'm using one in a recipe tonight and if I'm feeling bad, I'll give the other one to my parents or the food pantry. Thanks!!
  8. That's interesting. It would seem to me that organic should be gluten-free but I guess that's not always the case. I learn something new every day with this disease and lifestyle. Thanks for your help with this Peter. I'll give the broth a try and see how it goes.
  9. I downloaded the list which is super helpful because I do a lot of shopping at Meijer. Their normal Meijer brand (non organic) is listed as gluten-free but organic is not on the list. I can't see why the normal lesser quality one would be gluten-free and the organic would be not but as I said, I'm just not sure yet. This is all still new to me.
  10. I recently switched a prescription of mine and was concerned about gluten. I'm in my 2nd week of being gluten-free so I realize I'm not 100% yet but I'm doing my best. When I called the manufacturer, the person I spoke to was not very helpful. He gave me a very "legal, we're trying to cover our butts" answer but was never able to tell me if I my medicine...
  11. This board is the best resource for me!! Everyone on here has been so helpful & I thank you all for that. Here is the chicken broth: Filtered Water, Organic Free Range Chicken Broth Concentrate, Sea Salt, Organic Chicken Fat, Organic Chicken Flavor, Organic Onion Powder, Organic Turmeric, Organic Spices, Organic Carrot Powder. Here is the veggie...
  12. Does anyone know if Meijer's Organic vegetable & chicken broths are gluten-free? They look like they should be but I'm still so new at this that I don't trust myself to make a judgment call. There is no phone number on the package to contact Meijer, although I suppose I could try to find one on their website. Just seeing if anyone knew about this or had...
  13. Thank you for the responses. I have always heard the endoscopy is the "gold standard" for celiac diagnosis so I didn't realize there could be flaws with the endoscopy just like with the blood work. If that is the case, I would prefer to try a gluten-free lifestyle and see if it makes me feel better. I've been keeping a food journal prior to going gluten-free...
  14. I believe I've been tested for thyroid and anemia when I was young...not sure how many years ago and if those results would even be accurate. As far as my recent blood tests, they took the blood at one time and ran multiple tests (so I'm told). I was eating gluten at that time although I'm not sure how much. I'm just not sure how important a diagnosis...
  15. Hello, I'm new here and hoping someone can give me some advice/guidance. I had the blood tests done after a few people suggested my health issues could be celiac or gluten related (not sure which ones, just told my doctor I wanted the bloodwork to test for celiac). My doctor's office told me one blood test was negative and one was inconclusive, but did...
