  1. I am trying to find a good multivitamin and purchased Whole Foods Womens Food Based Multivitamin. The label states "Good manufacturing practices used to segregate in a facility that also processes wheat etc." I have celiac and am always careful about trace glutens so I am wondering do others feel comfortable with this label or have people had issues and...
  2. Does anyone know if VSL #3 is gluten free? From the information I have found online, it looks like the unflavored version is but I cannot find a definite answer. I was going to call the company as well but wanted to see if anyone had any information. If anyone has taken it also, was it helpful? thanks!
  3. This is actually a question for a friend of mine who may have Celiac. She got her genetic test results back today but will not see a dr to go over them for another week. The results were: DQ2 negative and DQ8 positive, genetic risk 1:89 (moderate). Does anyone know what this means and if she may have the gene? Thanks so much!

    ARCHIVED Chik Fil A

Does any one know if the Polynesian sauce is gluten free? Chick-fil-a has it listed as gluten free on their website bu the ingredient list says it contains "natural flavors". Anyone had any problems with it? I eat the fries all the time with no problems and ask for the nugget meals with my nuggets grilled and have had no problems.
  5. Thank you both for your responses. I just realized I posted this in the wrong category. The pain in my left side started about 2 weeks ago--about the time I began the h. pylori treatment. I am supposed to take the supplement for 4 weeks so I am wondering why I have the pain now and not before I began treatment. I also started take L. gluatamine around...
  6. I was diagnosed with h. pylori a few weeks ago. My naturopathic dr. put me on a supplement called pylorocid with zinc, mastic gum extract, berberine sulfate hydrate, and bismuth citrate. I have been taking it for 2 weeks. From reading some other post it seems like I should be taking an antibiotic to get rid of it although I know she wants to take a natural...
  7. Does anyone know of a gastroenterologist in the Raleigh, NC area that specializes in celiac disease or is knowledgable? Thanks so much!!
  8. I have celiac and was also recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia. My doctor has recommended 10mg B12 injections 4 times a week for a few weeks. I guess this would be considered a "loading dose" and then we would decrease the number of injections to maintain levels. This dosage seems really high to me--what is normal for a B12 deficiency? What are...
  9. I have recently been diagnosed with celiac disease and have a question about food labels. Do companies have to specify whether or not a product is produced in a facility that also processes wheat? For example, I was looking at canned tomatoes tonight at Whole Foods. The Whole Foods brand specificies that their tomatoes are produced in a facility that also...
  10. Hi Erin, We are in the same boat. I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago--i just joined this forum yesterday. It has been a difficult 6 weeks but I will say that I am VERY slowly feeling better every day. I think that it gets easier once you get a hang of the gluten free diet and I dont expect to have it mastered for many more months/year. The depression/anxiety...
  11. I was diagnosed with celiac disease 6 weeks ago. This is my first time posting and I am so glad to have found this support group! I have been gluten free for 6 weeks. I have tried to be very careful but I know I have made mistakes since it is a learning process and my husband and daughter do not eat gluten free. I am wondering what other people's experiences...
