About Me

I have 3 1/2 year old twin daughters, Madison & Zoey. Madison had a positive Celiac bloodtest & positive biobsy. Zoey had a negative bloodtest & mild blunting with negative biobsy but a positive Gluten Sensitivity Stool Test of 176 Units(Enterolab) and I have been suspecting she too has Celiac because she has the same symptoms as Madison.

I have Hashimotos Hypothyroid, PCOS, abdominal pain, joint pain, fatigue and lots of other symptoms and my Mom has Celiac. About a year ago abdominal pain got so severe I had an Endoscope that revealed severe gastritis, duodenitis, ulcers and I forget what else. GI Dr was "positive" I had Chrohns although I didn't have diarrhea but I did tell her my Mom has Celiac and she said she had been doing her job for a really long time and she was sure it was Chrohns and we'd wait for bloodwork to confirm, pretty much ruled out Celiac(and hadn't looked for it during Endoscope) Chrohns test came back negative(I knew it would) and then I began having diarrhea, it ended up getting so bad at one point that I was having mucous & blood. Then had a colonoscopy that revealed NOTHING and my GI Dr told me that nothing was wrong. I asked what caused all of my problems then and she said these things often happen for NO REASON and that it was probably stress. I told her that I have NO stress, I have the most stress free life, nothing had changed. I am pretty sure that she just didn't have a clue what was going on so the easiest and only answer that she could give me was to say STRESS. My GI Dr told me I didn't have Celiac, I THINK she did bloodwork and I did a Gluten Stool Sensitivity Test(Enterolab) that came back negative/normal at 9 units.

We turned our entire house gluten free June 7, 2012 so I will see if mine & Zoeys symptoms go away. I still suspect that both Zoey & myself have Celiac based on our symptoms and reguardless of what any tests show, only time will tell.
