My psych had me split the dosage on my celexa to half a tab in the am and half in the pm. I still had the stomach cramps and diarrhea this morning. But I also had them after eating lunch today too. I'm wondering if its something I'm eating causing this. In the morning I have a cup of coffee with a tablespoon of raw honey and a tablespoon of coconut oil...

Thanks for your responses. I do not have hashimoto's. I had my thyroid removed in 2005 due to cancer. Had my levels checked in February and they were good. I don't really feel like I'm hyper. No anxiety, fast heart rate, shakiness. I put in a call to my psych to see if it could be my other meds so we will see.

I tested negative for celiac through blood and biopsy. However my dr also ordered a barium small bowel X-ray and the results showed segmentation indicating malabsorption suggesting possible celiac. So I stayed gluten free. I'm currently at a week and a half on the paleo diet and have felt great. Until the past 3 days. About an hour after I take my morning...

ARCHIVED Tea? And Soy?
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm awaiting my test results but have gone gluten free in the mean time. I've been putting soy milk in my coffee in the mornings and have noticed that after I drink it it feels weird when I breathe. Like my lungs are coated. I don't know how else to describe it. Also the insides of my ears got really itchy one morning after I used it in my coffee and to... -
ARCHIVED Upcoming Endoscopy In 2 Months Gluten Free 1 Month
brandyburl replied to tarahumara's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm new so I'm still learning. I'm also going through testing. Someone on here told me one slice of bread a day is enough gluten for testing. Of course we are all different and that could be too much. Maybe someone more experienced has better advice. That's just what I was told. -
ARCHIVED Got My First Test Results
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Friday I had a barium small bowel X-ray series. I had one in 2011 after hospitalization with an illeus. That one was normal. This one showed larger than average amount of feces in the colon, segmentation of the barium column which is suggestive of malabsorption diseases, and mucosa with a moulage appearance. The report says celiac should be suspected. I have... -
ARCHIVED Stepdaughter And Constipation Issues
brandyburl posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I'm currently in the process of revamping our diets. I'm doing it slowly so that we can adjust without too much rebuttle from the four kids in our house, one of whom is autistic and eats constantly. Anyway, this post is about my step daughter. My husband and I got married in December and they moved in with me. SD has always had constipation issues. Complaining... -
ARCHIVED Ex Husband Not Supportive

Ha! He probably should be tested. Thank you for the suggestions. I will have him talk to the dr. And if I need to, take him back to court. -
ARCHIVED Ex Husband Not Supportive
brandyburl posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I've posted on this forum about my two oldest children and their symptoms and mine. I had a doctor's appt scheduled for all 3 of us to see the doctor and inquire about testing. However, my symptoms were getting a lot worse and I knew I would consume most of the doctor's time so I changed the appointment just for me. My doctor referred me to the clinic's surgeon... -
ARCHIVED Think I'm Reacting To Almonds
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
No the package didn't have a statement about possible cross contamination. I didn't eat a lot. More than 4-5 though. Maybe 10 or 15. I'm not sure I want to try almonds again anytime soon. I do not want to feel this way! Yuck! Thanks for the info about nuts.com -
ARCHIVED Think I'm Reacting To Almonds
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thank you. I wondered about gluten. I bought this bag at Aldi. The ingredients list almonds, and salt. I just assumed it was ok. -
Kind of new here. My biopsy is next Thursday. I think I may have another food intolerance to almonds though. I love them and have been taking them to work for a snack. Well, I've noticed the past few times I've eaten them I immediately get stomach pains. I just attributed it to feeling bad in general and really didn't think any more of it. Well today I ate...

ARCHIVED Other Sensitivities Suddenly Showing Up?
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I cut out gluten since Wednesday and have seen some improvement in symptoms already. Most noticeably in the bathroom. . I usually have 3 cups of coffee in the morning with no problems. However this morning after just two cups I got dizzy/lightheaded, upset stomach and headache. I put sugar and half and half in my coffee. I've done this in the past with... -
ARCHIVED Just Got Back From The Doctor
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Well I had my appt with my PCP. I told him I had a big list of symptoms but my most prominent ones are muscle pain, forgetfulness/memory loss, hypoglycemia, and lightheadedness upon standing. I then told him that 3 days ago I decided to avoid gluten and as many processed foods as possible. He said it did sound like a food intolerance. But he said he doubts... -
ARCHIVED Things Could Be Looking Up.
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thank you for the natural suggestions! I had read online that some people's ulcers had been healed with cayenne pepper and apple cider vinegar. Has anyone else heard that? -
ARCHIVED Things Could Be Looking Up.

Thank you. I hope I continue improving too. My mood has improved a lot since I'm not in as much pain and my energy level has increased too. Hopefully this all continues. -
ARCHIVED Things Could Be Looking Up.
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Mornings have been the roughest time of day for me. My head, neck and back are usually killing me and I wonder if I can make it to work at all. Well this morning I woke up and my pain is a lot less. Not sure why. I've been gluten free since Wednesday. I've been avoiding processed foods as well. This could be a fluke and I could be speaking too soon, but things... -

ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It was gastric bypass (RNY). On a routine gyno visit a couple years ago my obgyn mentioned that I could have a B12 deficiency so he ordered lab. Results were normal. However, that WAS 2 years ago and a lot can change. -
ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thank you for your kind response. I've been driving myself crazy trying to self diagnose. Google is not my friend. I read articles and then worry a bit more. One article said that people who hAve had weight loss surgery are likely to develop gluten intolerance. I had gastric bypass in 2008. I'm thinking that could be where my problems started. -
ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I am 33. The head and neck pain has only been going on for about a month. The back pain started yesterday. I had a really stressful week a month ago and that's when the head and neck pain started. I assumed it was all stress related. I also had some nausea and fatigue and developed canker sores in my mouth. I had also experienced pain and intense itching... -
ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I've had the same symptoms: shakes, sweats, dizziness, muscle weakness and tested my sugar and it was in the 40s. Perhaps you are right though. This episode passed quickly unlike the time I was in the 40s. I have no idea what it would be though. I'll be mentioning it to the dr. -
ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl replied to brandyburl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have decided to go ahead and go gluten free. Shortly after eating the oatmeal this morning I had an episode of hypoglycemia. I had even put pb in the oatmeal for protein and fat so I don't understand why my blood sugar dropped. It was 66. -
ARCHIVED I'm Miserable!
brandyburl posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have a dr appt Friday to talk with my dr about possible celiac or gluten intolerance. In the mean time I'm miserable. My back is killing me. It feels like a muscular pain but I haven't done anything to injure it. Pain started yesterday while sitting at my desk at work. I feel like I'm living on Tylenol for the constant head and neck pain. Sometimes it helps...
