Ah yes the g.f bread ! Tastes fine but boy it must be super high glycemic as an hour after a sandwich I feel as if I've had nothing ! Will need to do some serious thinking about what to have for lunch ?? I've never been a salad person so I thinking fruit and yoghurt, home made soup omletes ? Hi Guys I only had minor symptoms before I was dx'd so didn't start the gluten-free diet as a skinny person. I'm not fat just at the upper end of of the acceptable weight range for my height and would be more than happy to lose a bit. My biggest vice was cake and biscuits but now that these are off limits I'm hoping it'll be easier to lose weight...

My Dr suggested Ostelin 1-2 a day to boost my low Vit D levels. -

I had my endoscopy today. The Dr said it showed damage to the duodeum consistent with celiac disease but will wait for path. results to give a final dx. I kinda thought that he'd be able to see damaged villi today and give me a more definite dx. Has anyone else experienced this where you've had to wait for path. results to get a dx ?? Cheers ... -
Hi Guys I am having a biopsy tomorrow and was wondering how long it takes to get the results ? Will they know on the day or do the samples have to go to pathology before the Dr can tell you anything ? Thanks Siobhan tTG +

I saw a Gastro today and he'll do a biopsy next week but he said its very liekly I have it. He said my dd has a 1-10 chance of having it and definitely should be screened. He'll write to her Neuro. with advice on what tests to run. An interesting fact he mentioned was that when a gluten-free diet doesn't work people are put on steroids. My dd is on... -
I'm wondering are there any celiac disease parents with celiac disease kids that don't show symptoms ? I was dx'd with celiac disease as a baby but when I was 4 a Dr did a test and told my mum it was o.k for me to eat gluten. Thanks for the advice and replies guys. I had very severe symptoms when I was a started solids (38yrs ago in Ireland) was in hospital for 4 months and dx'd with Celiac disease. Went gluten-free for 4 yrs was tested again and the Drs told my Mum I was cured and could eat normal food. Mum can't remember what that last test was ?? I've wondered about... -
