My sister was a coeliac, diagnosed 18 years ago at the age of 30. She had been gluten free as much as possible over that time but was recently involved in a study where she was required to consume gluten and record the results. This caused severe cramping, diarrhoea and vomiting. She eventually, on the day of the test, had a major stroke in the PONS area...
