  1. June 29 I was diagnosed with celiac & when I went gluten free. My endoscopy was the 25 of June. He made this appointment after he did my endoscopy. He hadn't mentioned the appointment but the ladies in recovery told us that he needed to see me again and scheduled me for the appointment that I went to yesterday (July 29).
  2. I asked my doctor and his response was that in cases similar to my case it is not uncommon to find lymphoma. (Celiac is my only dx at this point) He said it was a precautionary measure and used to be done on all celiac patients similar to me in age at time of dx (I'm only 23). He said ideal diagnosis was in children. I found it unsettling that he has me scheduled...
  3. I absolutely adore my gastroenterologist. He is very dedicated to my well being. Unfortunately,I feel that at nearly every appointment that we have he always ends on the note of the possibility of lymphoma. He has a lot of diagnostic appointments for blood work and some barium imaging studies that he has me scheduled for over the next few months that are...
  4. Hope for a speedy heal for you as well! =)
  5. Thank you all so much. All of your responses that are filled with support are very helpful. I have learned so much from this forum. This post has really saved me as I travel frequently. Getting started on all this is so stressful. I am so thankful for you all!
  6. Your symptoms sounds so familiar. I had numbness, abdominal pain, hair loss, tingling in my hands, feet, and face, weakness, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. The list goes on and on. I am recently diagnosed, but I know your pain. I literally thought that I was dying several times. I was persistent and requested second opinion from an urgent care clinic who...
  7. Thanks. Can I trust gluten free menus from places like outback steakhouse and similar chains?
  8. I am going out of town here in a couple of days, and I will not have access to a kitchen. I was diagnosed today, so I have very little experience. I have a list of gluten free menus that I have printed out, but are these menus safe. Can I eat out? What should I tell wait staff at restaurants? Any and all tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you for all of...
  9. Thanks for all of the support. =D
  10. I am officially diagnosed. I have celiac disease.
  11. Thanks. I am driving myself crazy waiting for the results to the blood tests. EVERY time I eat I feel like I am poisoning myself. I am even more so freaking out about my son. I am worried about such a dramatic lifestyle change for us both. Then I think maybe I don't have celiac. It is a vicious cycle so I am just ready to get some answers and begin healing...
  12. I had a endoscopy just Tuesday of this week, and he saw some problems with my gastric acid and could not exclude celiac. He found the problem with excess acid and was able to rule out a couple of other illnesses thanks to the endoscopy. It really wasn't a bad exam either. I was terrified, but trust me it may help the doctor find other stuff. As far as the...
  13. I have been battling with my symptoms for nearly 4 years. Gastric pain, cramps, rashes, nausea, and vomiting. You all know my pain. I had my gallbladder removed in 2013 and was diagnosed with fatty liver. I am only now 23 years old and I had my primary care completely shocked. I continued to live with symptoms that often sent me to seek emergency care. They...
