I had surgery two weeks ago for my parathyroid and elevated levels of calcium in blood tests. Surgery went very well except within 24 hours I developed a strong allergic reaction at the incision site. The area got very red , swollen and began to weep quite a bit. Sleep became impossible,went to the doctor and he removed the glue that is commonly used to cover the incision and stitches. Started on, anti-biotics and a steroid.
