  2. D - how do you have your nutrient levels checked to see if they are being absorbed? I couldnt agree with you more on your reply. So many doctors are not telling the celiacs/gluten intolerants to heal the villi. If there is malabsorption, isnt it impt to get a cross-reactive foods test too? Oats, soy, Corn, legumes, can all be irritants and cause issues....
  3. I think you have to heal your gut as well as being gluten free. I wonder what your bowel issues are? Did you have an upper endoscopy with a GI? to ck out your small intestines to see what condition they are in? Is the granola you are snacking on gluten free? I was never told to heal my gut and it ended up hurting me in the long run....... and now I am...

I dont know the answer to your question, but I have had celiac disease for 23 years and suddenly got very ill, and have malabsorption, have lost weight, etc. But have studied online with what to do, because we dont have insurance yet, and I found the SCD diet very helpful and easy. It helps your gut to heal, and yes it keeps you off all grains, starches...
