    @Vickey Matteson I totally get that. My dad was diagnosed at 78 and he’s a silent celiac. He consumes gluten quite often but I try to give him a break because at that age I might just say “screw it” as well!!! 🤣

    I tried to tell myself for a long time that I could eat out and just make sure what I ordered was gluten free and tell the kitchen. It doesn't work. I've stopped going out to eat altogether unless it's a place 100% gluten free. You are right, the only one you can trust with your food is you.     I was doing well about 1 year after my diagnosis and I started having all kinds of issues with bloating and constipation (also diarrhea) but it's important to know she can have diarrhea and still be constipated. I take miralax daily and it has helped me tremendously. Would be something to consider. Non-habit forming. Hope that helps!

    You may want to try taking miralax daily. I was Gluten-Free for two years after my diagnosis and suddenly got all kinds of bloating and undigested food in my stools.
