2 - Cleaning Up Gluten Spills

I've been thinking about converting my kitchen into a gluten-free kitchen - especially after yesterday **rolls eyes** - running to the bathroom all morning when I'd MUCH rather be at church is not my idea of how to spend a Sunday morning. Nope. **shakes head**

I had an apple for dinner last night. I need to lose 50 lbs (now 43) from last year's misdiagnosis fiasco. . . but still, I'd rather lose the weight in a healthy way. This isn't it. I've lost seven pounds in the last two days. Weeee.

Any way. . . I know peroxide breaks down proteins. Peroxide is great for taking out blood from soiled clothing (something us females need to pay attention to - TMI, I know. :P ) I was thinking that maybe soaking pots and pans and bake ware after washing in a peroxide solution, having a spray bottle of it handy in the kitchen for counter tops and cutting boards and putting the diswhasher on a rinse cycle with a peroxide rinse might be the ticket.

My husband said he'd be more than happy to go gluten free (with the exception of his fav crackers and cornchips - that I don't usually eat, any way) to make it easier for us to convert over. . .but I'd really like to not have to have him do that if I can help it.

I'm going to do some research to find out how effective peroxide is in breaking down ALL proteins - and what the delution to water might be that we can get a way with it, and give it a go. The worst that will happen is it won't work.

Today me and my hubby are celebrating my birthday - glutten free chocolate cake. :) (I asked for white, but I'm a chocoholic. . . so . . I think that got stuck in his brain. Pft.)

I'm also going to purchase some baby vitamins. I remember years ago when I was soooooo very ill, and I couldn't absorb anything. I used baby vitamins for a long time during tha time, and I was able to absorb them. Currently I've been taking gluten free vitamins (quite by accident, really) - and I try to chew them before swallowing. . but sometimes I just can't gag them down. Yick. I did well with the baby vitamins back then - was able to bring a lot of the malnutrition issues I had the back up to correct levels.

Ok. Off to weigh in and go do my day. I hope today doesn't end up like yesterday. That was raw.
