Thanks for the great comments. I have not eliminated lactose from my diet, so I am going to start by trying that. How long should I stay off of it? As far as Colitis, I don't think I have that. I had an upper endoscopy done and everything looked fine, so my GI went into my intestines suspecting Celiacs, did a biopsy and viola! Celiacs. I feel like he... -

Hi. I'm 28 and was diagnosed with Celiacs about 10 months ago (blood-work, biopsy, the whole nine). It's been pretty fantastic as far as the stomach pain disappearing for the most part. I haven't (purposely) eaten any kind of gluten since getting diagnosed. But here's my problem: I've been getting diarrhea more than I used to. I feel healthy otherwise... -

I truly do appreciate everyone's responses, even the frustrated ones. It's comforting to know these feelings are normal. I say to myself "at least its not cancer or something worse", but I can't help but feel bad for myself at times. It is a big change. Hello. I just got diagnosed with Celiacs this week. I'm 28 and the oldest of 6 kids. No one in my family had even heard of this disease before now, and apparently it's genetic. We've had our share of indigestion and gas, I suppose, but no one besides me showed any real symptoms. Should they all be getting tested? Josiah -

Hi. I am 28 and just diagnosed with Celiacs. I've been reading up on the disease and have met with a nutritionist, so I'm getting over the shock. My concern is cross-contamination as I live with my gluten-eating girlfriend. The books I'm reading seem to think I shouldn't be anywhere near anything that once came in contact with gluten.
