    Are you sure that the problem is gluten or wheat? Maybe you have developed an allergy to nuts. I used to love cashews but I can't eat them anymore. One day I could eat them but the next time, I couldn't (it didn't matter what brand it was.

    I don't have this problem as I can't eat nuts- I developed a sensitivity to them as an adult. Some people earlier mentioned buying nuts in bulk at health food stores. Wouldn't it be possible for cross contamination to occur in this situation? Would the nuts be protected if they were in their shells?

I agree with this poster in that just because something says that it is gluten free doesn't mean that it is safe for everyone to eat.     I'm sorry about your interaction with the Delallo company. They should have been more responsive to your complaints. You said that you hosted a dinner party which included non celiacs. Was everything on the menu gluten free? Were there other celiacs who were at the party, ate the pasta and didn't get sick? Are you sure that the non celiacs didn't bring in...

    Could it be that she takes Lactaid before consuming dairy? I am also lactose intolerant and that is what I sometimes use. I switched to Kirkland Signature Fast Acting Lactase which I buy at Costco. It works the same and is cheaper than Lactaid (at least in my area).

    If your future father in law used a knife to spread cream cheese on his bagel and you used it, it could have been cross contamination (especially if he does not eat gluten free). I also notice that the product included both jalapenos and red peppers which are members of the nightshade family. Can you eat peppers, potatoes, tomatoes. etc?
