Wide Screen

Mosaics

Wow, my picture made the screen so wide that I can't see the whole thing. I'm still bothered by my neck, although it's quite a bit better. I went to get my hair cut today and the lady who washed it took forever. I don't know what she was doing, but it wasn't helping my neck hanging backward over the sink like that for so long. I ordered some Chebe bread a couple of days ago and am hoping to make some hot-pocket like things for my son to take with him to school. It's really a challenge to come up with something he'll eat that's easily portable. I'll be sending a slaw with him tomorrow. That sounds kind of like a weird lunch, but he loves my slaw. I put bacon and peanuts in it, so it's almost like a meal. I cut up two whole heads of cabbage at a time so I have it handy to throw together the slaw whenever we want it.Here's the recipe if anyone wants it. I think I got it from a Kraft magazine.4 cups green cabbage, chopped1 cup purple cabbage, chopped4 slices bacon, cooked crisp1/2 cup peanuts, chopped1/2 cup mayo (the recipe calls for Miracle Whip, but I sub. with mayo)1 Tbs. sugar1 tsp. cider vinegarMix together mayo, sugar, and vinegar. Toss with cabbage. Crumble bacon. Right before serving, mix bacon and nuts with cabbage mixture.I'm going to LaMadeleine's for lunch with a friend tomorrow. Since going gluten-free, it's hard to find something to eat there. I used to love their mushroom soup, but unfortunately, I've had to give it up because they put wheat flour in it.My 16 y.o. son has the opportunity to buy a lawn mowing business from an acquaintance. I think he has about decided to do it. He's been wanting a job and this seems like a good deal. It's hard work, but he can set his own hours and build it as big as he wants or keep it small. He's already had a friend ask if he would hire him. B) He said he would after he has the busines paid off and is profitable enough....that may be next summer.
