Celiac Symptoms Confusion

I am new to this forum. :)

I have been diagnosed with Celiac for 5 years after so many tests...I also have DH.

I am following my diet 100% :)

Two years ago I realized that I cannot tolerate milk and soy, so I cut all milk/soy products. :( I went to get tested and it came out negative. I stayed on my diet (Gluten/Milk/Soy)because I was scared to go back to milk and soy...I felt better for some time (7 months or so). Now, again I started getting reactions.

 

My symptoms now: (I had the same symptoms before I was diagnosed with Celiac but they were severe) :o

-Brain fog (Major symptom!!! I cannot concentrate while working... I forget everything and if I have a meeting I forget what is it for...)

-Mood Problem!! I just feel angry all the time and don't want to talk to anybody. I just want to be on my own. I also feel like nobody is understanding what I am going through and makes more upset...

-Breakout (Face & chest)

-Itching my thighs ( I start itching until it bleeds -Gross!- it also leaves marks)

-Bloating

-The roof of my mouth gets very soar.

 

I am just confused with my symptoms... :huh:

I also want to go to some Dr who really knows about Celiac ... because most of the Drs I go to they just tell me follow your diet and you will feel better! <_< They don't try to find out why I am still having those symptoms even though I am cutting so many foods...Please tell me if you know any Dr in the Area of New York or New Jersey.

One thing I would advise is to make sure your meat is (grass fed animals) If they are grain fed it will have gluten in the meat! I would advise to get more blood work done! You may have low levels of something your body is lacking!! I was low iron! Research a really good Chiro!!! They can help out a lot too! Good Luck!

For some gluten intolerant people and celiac people, the reactions are to more and more foods over time that aren't gluten contaminated. This website that were on has articles that document the research that can teach how this happens. From my understanding, it is mostly an intestinal over sensitivity to other foods that wouldn't normally cause a reaction. Often the white blood cells are over reacting as well and the body does not have the nutrients and minerals it needs to break down the typically "ok" foods. That's not to say there are not other allergies, there could be, and which on a gluten free diet may or may not clear up.
I am going through this fun little process right now, too much soy is not good, too much proteins are not good, blah blah. I went to a naturopath and had a some what suspicious test done with a machine and holding my arm in the air. Lets just say I had over 50 things that my body didn't want in it's system. :o I can't live in fear. SO, one thing that can help both of us is gluten free (safe for your other allergies) viatamins. Things that will help the body process and heal and function better. I think if you do more research and seek out a doctor who is fluent in celiac disease that you'd be on the right road. Hope something in these long paragraphs helps ;) if not, than remember that having a calm perspective (in the face of gluten) will help keep the stress down (stress can make for an ober reactive immune system).
