Struck By The Glutenous Bolt Of Misery

Amy's Soup. I'd read about people reacting to it, but I had already bought it and some people are allergic to ingredients I am ok with. So I tried some one day and I was fine. Ate the rest the next day (potato leek?)yum. Then I had the tomato kind. I guess I'm just glad I get off work at 3, because I can go home and be glutenly grouchily greenily grumbly gross and grim all by myself.

But the next two days I was feeling sluggish--- funny the theme for Just Say No Week at school was "Drugs make Slugs". So does gluten. ha. Gluten is like my kryptonite.

I had bad brain fog, too.

SO, Saturday I was feeling better and ate some gummy lifesavers. I had been saving them to try since I'd discovered the gluten-free/safe candy list.

I was amazed at the flavors. Yum! Then, it was time to go cosmic bowling. I had my Jessica Simpson patent leather slingback heels on and socks in my purse and all of a sudden I got the puffy feeling in my stomach. So, I called my date and said I'd be a half hour late. Did the D-eed. and drank some stomach medicine and got in the car and went bowling!!!!!!! For me, laying in bed does NOT help. I do better with DISTRACTIONS. So, I was super nauseous, had back pain and burped up a storm, but I had fun.

Plus, bowling is the perfect place to wear glamorous but uncomfortable shoes because you get to take them off as soon as you arrive, get compliments on them while you exchange one and carry the other one to your lane, and you don't have to wear them except for a few minutes on the way in and out. Loved that.

I have ZERO energy today. My 65 year old granny could run circles around me today. I think I'll make some tea. White tea with pomogranite. yum.

I'm going "nuts and berries" until Tuesday--Halloween--and that day I wear my Disney Cinderella costume that all the little ones at my elementary school OOOOH and AAAAh over (I have the light-up clear heels to go with it). I had to take it in 6 inches in the waist. It was a little big last year, but the gluten-free lifestyle has kept me my summer size year round, now. So TUESDAY, I'm going to eat lots of apples and CHOCOLATE and hopefully my wicked stepsister which is gluten will LEAVE ME ALONE while I enjoy my halloween treats.
