Ok. So I'm dancing. Again. and as i gesticulate, my hand flails to the right of me and I encounter something soft and spongy. and I look to investigate, as this is not a common sensation on the dance floor. and it's a large woman (I'd guess 300 lbs.) with a SHORT skirt on with miles of cellulite that I TOUCHED. Inadvertently, of course. Now, really. I'm glad people of all sizes feel comfortable and sexy on the dance floor in fun dance attire, but PLEASE. Restrain the cellulite. Wear pantyhose. SOMETHING!!!

After getting grossed out by the tactile experience, I boogied on away from her and SOMEHOW she got near me and it happened AGAIN! So I took this dude's arm and stuck it out beside me as a barrier. He smiled cuz he could see what happened. Now I know why that song goes "SHE's DANGEROUS on the dance floor!"

I did gander at some really hot boots and strappy stillettos. I sported the Coach slings. Comfort is a necessity for me when I shake shake shake it. However they kinda had too much traction for twirling with the salsa moves. My Jessica Simpson slingbacks are smokin hot, but I choose to wear them BOWLING- where they get lots of recognition since I have to take them off and carry one around- and since I have the bowling shoes ON, my feet don't suffer. Anytime I can sit a lot is good for those shoes.

Isn't it nice that you can't tell a celiac from looking at us? I like pretending to be normal.

As long as someone doesn't ask me why I don't drink beer or try to push beer or fried bar foods on me, it's really great that I don't have to think about it. Because even if they ask, and I just say I don't-- without explaining, the thought in my head has already gone back to celiac. and I enjoy it when I can enjoy life for hours WITHOUT thinking about it.

OH- and kudos to all of you who make the effort for a gluten-free Thanksgiving. I've never been to a thanksgiving where guests didn't bring food from their glutenous homesteads, so I can't imagine having a gluten-free one with family.

AND my grandma is making me Gluten Free foods for Xmas, so I'm spoiled anyway. I'm even thinking of being selfish enough to ask her not to have any buns there.

I don't know about y'all but part of the HOLIDAY spirit is SHARING foods we all make, not MAKING it all myself to ensure it's gluten-free like every other day of the year.
