Vegetarians Only Do It For Fun

One of my co-workers politely asked me, after declining a gyro, if I was a vegetarian. I told him about the "wheat allergy," and he asked me how my allergy manifests itself. I politely told him that I vomit--and that it's genetic. I told him about the rice bread and whatnot--and he was pretty cool with it. My take on vegetarians who have started a vegan/whatever (not purposely gluten-free) diet: they don't realize how lucky they are. Sure, I'm not missing most of that poisonous stuff, but the fact that some vegetarians won't have milk or cheese is just sad. I can hear lactose/casein intolerant people protesting somewhere!
