To Eat, Or Not To Eat

Ack! I have got to stop eating like a pig!

My clothes are getting tight. I can't stand it. It doesn't help when everyone around me thinks I'm thin and smirk when I mention losing weight. I start thinking, "Well, maybe I'm not as fat as I think...yeah, in fact, I am lookin' gooood." B) Then I put my jeans on and try to button them. That's when reality sets in. I'm going to try to go back to eating low-carb. It's so hard because I love the carbs...chips, mashed potatoes, potatoes in any form, really, cookies, grits, cake, candy, pasta.

People tend to think that since I have to eat gluten-free, I most certainly have a healthy diet. It's funny because there's a new family at church and the woman thinks I'm some sort of health guru. She asks me things like, "What's a natural remedy for the flu?" and "What can I use on my poison ivy." I'm like, "Uh, go to the doctor. I don't know."

And everyone thinks that because I can't have gluten, I must never eat anything fattening. Wrong! I have found all kinds of things I can bake or buy to satisfy my sweet tooth. And Chebe bread. Oh my...nearly every meal.

My three month trial membership to the gym has expired. I was really good. Most weeks I went four days a week. And I've discovered that I really like Yoga. Since I can't go to the class any more, I've been doing the routines at home. I'm thinking I should get a Yoga DVD, though, to inspire me. Also, my husband and I are, again, taking ballroom dancing lessons. This month it's just one hour a week. Next month we'll have two hours on Thursday. That's a fun way to get moving.
